Tough vote on this. In the end, I thought it lacked the originality/innovation for spotlight. I see improvement in it. Your buildings and details on them are your best yet. While realistic to the park type, I didn't like the amount off empty/plain grass space off the path, mostly at the entry. The coaster lineup was weak, but what you did was well done, solid details. I did love the John Deere tractor display.

I would almost be willing to pay to see you do a fantasy/fantastical realism type park. At this point I kinda doubt that will happen, but if this is what you like to do, don't let my or any opinion stop you.

    Congratulations on the gold !

This is so good. I understand the people having mixed feelings about this, it's probably because they want to see something different from you, and I'm part of those people. Also there's a lot of people in admiration seeing this park and I totally understand it too, it fits their style and your work is technically perfect. You're an incredibly skilled player.

Now, on a more personal note, I was a big fan of Excalibur, and the area around it was truly magical. The park as a whole didn't do much to me in all honesty, I really appreciated the aesthetics and your sense of detail but it was maybe a bit too perfect in some places and too much built in your comfort zone.

For me it's still a 80-85% park, for the reasons I said before, but I hope next time you will surprise us with some strong themed areas and bring us somewhere we wouldn't expect.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, I didn't really expect such a positive reaction to the park.

I agree with the comments on the parks lack of ambition, scale and poor planning.  Those are definitely things that I would like to have improved, we at least the planning side of things.  This was never meant to really be a full out attempt at spotlight, which is why the scale isn't quite there.  I had plans at one point to include some of the hotels and campground that the real park has, but after a certain point I just didn't have the desire to build them and wanted to focus just on the park and its direct surroundings.

I probably do think of this as my best park, even if its not reflected in the score.  It achieved the goals I set out to the best and on an all around technical level its probably my best and also most unique park.

I'll try to do more direct responses at some point, as I've done in the past.

    Thanks all!

While I voted sort of low on this, I still thought it was a really solid park.

If I'm being honest, I sort of feel like everything in this park was technically correct and really, really good but none of it was great.

The park as a whole felt a little bit lifeless compared to Westwinds and Worlds of Fun, mostly due to their muted color schemes and expanses of plain, grey paths. I know the pathways were something you were dead-set on, but I still don't particularly like them. Parks in real life are often criticized for being massive expanses of concrete (Hi Dorney) and it's realistic, but it sucks the life out of parks in RCT just as it does in real life.

That said, this was still a really good park. Technically you nailed it as you always do. The coaster layouts were all nice, the Mine Train was probably my favorite since it featured a deliberately terrible Arrow Mine Train style design that's tough to pull off in game. In addition, it's placement in the trees and the finale over water make it pretty atmospheric which is always nice.

Outlaw and Tornado were nice as well, they weren't overly captivating due to their location but it's true to life so no complaints.

Monster is clearly the star. I like the idea of making it more like Wicked and less like it's namesake. I also like that you borrowed the chairlift interaction from the real ride but took it to the next level by having it thread a vertical loop. This ride was really well done.

As you know, I love realism so I know it's weird that I voted sort of low on this but (as you know) realism doesn't have to be lifeless and I feel like in many cases this park sort of was.

Technically I like it, and it's objectively great, but out of Westwinds, Worlds of Fun and now this, it's easily my least favorite park from you. Still though, a less impressive G Force park is still a fantastic piece of RCT.

PS: And I totally love that you built a Flitzer.
