I absolutely know why it failed: too many trees and the ride goes too slow. But here it is anyways.

Pretty nice, overall id say like a low 7 high 6 and about the same for the other design you sent in. You have some skill, but I think you need to plan better and put more thought into what your making. Also your coaster layouts are soild imo, just the pacing needs work.

Thx for sending it in, better luck next time.

when I use "inspiration" I get accused of copying work

    Or I'm afraid I will...

    that's what i meant.

Well rcdb is great for inspiration for the coaster itself, but not for the theming. For that, you need to just pick a theme, and then go out and research it.
  • Ling%s's Photo
yes, and where do you get a theme idea? Another RCT park for me (or several, in some cases).
Although this had no real inspiration... just a foresty idea.

Google is your friend.... even a simple image search helps a lot.
  • gir%s's Photo
Well, for your example if I wanted a forest theme I would look up "Big Bad Wolf" on rcdb.com, and I'd get results like...

and if you still aren't satisfied there are plenty of other coasters out there that are similar, you just have to know where to look.

hmm... okay, I'm seeing what you mean now.

Yet I still got yelled at for over-treeing :|

You'll get yelled at for over-treeing if you panic and put a shitload of trees in instead of theming, and you'll get yelled at for under-treeing if there's too many blank spots on the map. Find a balance and you'll be good. Well, of course, there's bad treeing, but that's another story...

I don't like the way that people are kinda setting out rules for how things should be done (ie. treeing). You can put shit loads of trees in a park and it not be over-treed if it is done well, not just loadsa trees bunged to fill up space (which I know I'm guilty of). You can use open spaces and hardly any trees and it could work. It's about execution, not rules. You can say "this is overtreed" fair enough, but you can't say "never use lots of trees".

Anyways, haven't looked at this in game yet, but it doesn't seem overtreed...just poorly treed. The layout looks ok, pretty boring, and I can see pacing issues from here. Will take a closer look in due time.

    gir, very impressive!

I didn't like the foliage, but the design itself wasn't bad.

Great supports on the coaster. The themeing wasn't best but not bad. Also nice layout on the coaster.

    Keep trying.
