    i voted for Xlapak.

Xlapak - seen the theme before, but not with the twist you guys put on it. very cool. everything was very well done as well, and it had a great atmosphere. however, i didn't notice anything special about the end of Snake in the Grass. what did you guys want us to see? :p

Aquatica - another theme that's been done before, but with some unique twists. however, the Flying Germans send in yet another unfinished park, and it astounds me. everything was quaint and nice, but even with a finished park i don't think you guys could have beat Xlapak. sorry.

Aquatica- the architecture above water was stunning, especially in the castle section (also great invert btw). However, I didn't like the stations just sitting there in the water and i think it would have looked better if you had covered it in the water scenery, even though i know it would make it lag. although a terrific park that would normally have won, the unfinished bits hurt my view a little.

Xaltatalkjdfa (whatever)- very very nice work. great idea, themes, execution, layouts, everything basically. i really can't find a flaw in this park other than i want there to be more of it

the mayan one won for me.

to be fair, everyone was given sufficient warning to purchase Loopy Landscapes before the competition went underway, Turbin3.

If you haven't realised ll isn't even in the shops anymore, the only way is buy online shopping and most people dont like that, like myself for example

10 votes in 24 hours, wow thats pathetic...

    BUY LL PEOPLE!!!
  • K0NG%s's Photo
I have to agree. Since we're averaging roughly 40 votes per match so far (which sucks...20 less than the amount of people involved in this) and had 28 for the only other LL match so far...only 1/3 of the people that voted in the first one have voted here. We know that at least 28 people are capable of voting on this match, so..........C'MON people!

I can't but I think I would have voted the LL one from the overview...

I unfortunately joined after the poll but have seen both. I got my ll copy from a secondhand book store and my friend's from amazon using a gift card I got from the spelling bee.

The fact that this hasn't been updated on the main page might be a factor in the lack of votes.

I can't vote on this as I don't have LL, but from the look of the 2 overviews, I would have voted Xlapak. Granted, I haven't seen it in game... but it just looks better. Having opened Aquatica in game, it didn't do much for me. The Port Royale area was about the one nice bit; I liked the general atmosphere and archy. The invert was really nicely paced and had a cool layout - but you committed a horrible 9-cars per train crime!! :) The rest of the park didn't really grip me - once more, I think a read-me could have explained the concept better.

I didn't really 'get' how you had these rides diving in and out of areas which seemed like they were meant to be submerged, and areas which weren't. But due to being unfinished as well, the concept never really worked for me. I just didn't really get it. The trackitecture and coaster-trains as fish may have looked good if you had made them underwater... but I dunno. There just weren't enough good things there for me, and for the most part, I didn't get the concept of the few potentially good things which were there.

Mine went to the Mayan one. I always like Mayan themes, and even though this sort of thing has been done before, I still really enjoyed going through it. The coasters were pretty interesting and the layouts seemed nice. The theming work was quite impressive. It's certainly one of the most well done Mayan themes I've seen.

I think people have already done enough flaw pointing to Aquatica, so I'll say that I liked the concept of it all, I just wish there was time to finish it.

My vote goes to the Legends-- congratulations on what looks like a winner this time!

I thought the decision was somewhat tough, since the invert in the water park was really impressive.. the surroundings were beautiful as well. The rest of the park was a mess, however.

As i progressed in my viewing of Xlapak, i started to enjoy it more. The start to the invert was brilliant, i really wish it was cut a bit shorter because it got really messy. Every coaster seemed to want to do to much, even though all sections were quite nice. The arrow lingered a bit much. The theming was nice, but i somehow thought it was slightly boring all the same, I didn't seem to know why most of the stuff was there. And the three coasters all have a pre-run (lift or launch) segment. Anyways, it was quite nice, but won't be my favorite.

Seems like a solid win, even though there is only a limited number votes in so far.

I haven't seen Xlapak ingame yet, but it is clear that the Alpha Legends deserve the win here; the park looks great. But really, is our park this bad? Even forfeiting would've been more effective for getting a playoff spot... :(

I think by the rule forfeiting means you got 0% of the vote, so technically this is better, even if not much.

^ Although...in a forfeit, AL's would have received only the average % of winning parks for the round. So actually, for tie-breaking purposes, a forfeit would have been more beneficial to FG's than this much of a blowout. The 6.25% (atm) isn't going to drop the FG's percentage as much as the 93.75% is going to raise the AL's.

There's a fun way to work an angle in the competition, forfeit to hurt the other team....
  • K0NG%s's Photo
Quite the cynical viewpoint there Todd. And, the sarcasm is duly noted. I guess one could look at it that way, although I would think that a team in a competition such as this (that is still in the running for a playoff spot) would possibly look at it not so much as hurting the other team...but, not hurting your own team as much. Then again.....I'm an optimist.

At least you didn't define it as "truly pathetic".
