Fuck...two days and almost two pages in and nary a sniff of blood to induce a feeding frenzy.

    Man, there's gotta be somethin'.
Let's see......Beta...no, Nokia...no, Liampie....no, well, he did say "lovely' but.....no, Micool......no, Levis.....ehhh, the "realism vs. fantasy" thing has been done to death already so...no, SF....no (and, there is a 2nd custom wav in the park), Micool again...nah, wasn't talking to me, AHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cena!!!! It's clearly not the Black Eyed Peas, it's Dick Dale - "Misirlou" which proves that you don't know what the fuck you're talking about!

    There, now I feel better.

Argh! Those damn kids and their realism...

    Is that okay? :D

It was a hard pick for me. yes, belmont is probably the most realistic park ever, but i feel like ive seen the beach front theme park a million times. It was AMAZING, but i kinda wanted more.

Dinotopia was different in that it had some amazing ideas, just wasnt as amazing on execution. I voted for Dino though. It kept my interest longer, it was more atmospheric, and i don't think the execution was so horrible that it stood way below belmont. All that being said, both were Amazing parks, and i really enjoyed them.

knowing the Whzz kids are through to the finals, i just hope they are able to apply this level of brilliance to something more fresh and creative. I know, 'realism rocks, everybody likes realism' whatever. the best parks are able to be realistic, but also be outside the box. I hope you can do that cause we all know you guys have the skill.

the aesthetic and realistic appeal was excellent for belmont. it was so peep friendly i was shocked, actually. the amount of details, even going down to the lines and lanes in the road, was staggering. i wouldn't put it up there with the best h2h parks of all time but this is one of the best this season, for sure.

Really? A million? I bet you can't name more than a couple that are halfway decent.

Wow, looking at a straight sweep. Impressive.

Alright, I think you guys could have afforded a closer match last round ;)

Best name for a ferris wheel ever? I think so. Also gets my vote. Unbelievable park in nearly every regard. Though I thought the parking lot being right on the brink of the wooden coaster queue with no kinds of barriers a bit unsafe? There were those tall traffic poles everywhere else but the one place a car could go out of control and kill someone there was none! aha!

geewhzz, i expected you of all people to be above the constant bickering, guess not... it's an opinion, take it or leave it

No, I'm really curious, what more did you want? I'm not bickering but you really didn't back up your opinion which left me wanting more.

IMO both parks in this round were superb. But as with most people i found that Belmont Shore edges it. The details were incredible and as Posix said there were points where i just looked and went WOW...

Dinotopia is more my kind of park. Fantasy, well imagined and well executed. But for me it was impossible to ignore the quality of Belmont.

I feel for the Dinotopia guys as against almost any other park this round they would have had a great chance. But like "The Afterlife" in round 2 it had the bad luck of facing the standout park of the round.

I voted Dinotopia. I'm not getting the hype over Belmont.

Belmont was a nice little park. Some nice ideas and good execution. Generally good architecture and theming. My biggest issue with it was the size or lack thereof. It had one coaster and like 2 flats with just a few buildings around. I was pretty bored while looking through it too. I was not a big fan of the woodie either, I expected a bit more with the reviews people were giving and since it is the only coaster present. The overabundance of hacks also led to plenty of little glitches which can be annoying. The landscaping was also a downer.

Dinotopia was packed with creativity. The flier and giga coasters were pretty weak but there were two other coasters that were great...the wild mouse and the corkscrew. I thought the architecture was done well throughout and landscaping was nice. The colors were nice as well. A lot of thought must have gone into all of the thematic elements and the atmosphere of the park, I thought, was spot on.
Obviously I'm in the minority here but I think the skill level behind each park is somewhat close, but the fact that that skill level was carried through basically 3x as much park (and more effectively imo) in Dinotopia than Belmont influenced my vote.

Someone tell me how these two are both better than me and milo's park. This community has truly become rct2.com, the sequel.

Well then you have La Qua at Tokyo Dome to thank for that, seeing as that is where the name came from.

Respect people's opinions dude. There are people who prefer these parks, but there are also plenty of people who prefer Assault on Earth Base Gamma Gamma.

Sorry dude I was a little drunk when I posted and this one was unnecessary. They are both very good parks. I like them a lot, I just needed to express my bitterness I guess.

I especially wish I could visit Dinotopia, who wouldn't want to go there? And in Belmont, the people on bicycles is genius.

Really, I wasn't so mad about people liking these parks more so much as the vote total in rct2/rct2 matchups. But it's inevitable.
  • Ride6%s's Photo
Uh.... This should go down as one of the all time best matchups in H2h history, even if the votes don't or can't reflect it.

Both of these parks are superb to the point that my faith in H2h and NE is restored...

But Belmont gets it... My jaw hasn't been wired to the ground like that since... Ever. Fuck it. I think it might be my favorite park ever; and I'm a self-professed fantasy guy.

I guess I missed the 'flier' coaster in Dinotopia. Did anyone else find it?

@Micool --> Do you even own RCT2? If you do then why don't you participate in actually voicing your opinion through your vote instead of talking bullshit. If you don't, you really have no room to trash either of these parks based on aerials when things in both of these parks need to be seen in game to appreciate the work that went into them.

Which leads me to my next point. Why is it so hard for people to vote? It's truly pathetic, and this goes for ALL the matches. Many players that are actually involved in the contest rarely vote and it's pretty pathetic when captains can't even get their votes in.

In this match alone, 18 out of 35 votes are from people not even in the competition. When in an RCT2 match, we should get 40 votes just from people in the contest, well minus Micool I guess.
