I came this close to picking the Symphony...

But in the end, after a couple more viewings, I choose the serene Sierra. Nice park.

I nulled it, because I don't want to vote if I can't see both of the parks. However, judging from the screens, I would have probably chosen Sierra Glen. It's simplicity really draws me to it, and I really just don't like cluttered parks like Symphony of Pollution. Just too much going on.

Good job, both teams and good luck in the future.

as much as i don't want Kumba to win, i'd have to go with the Hurricanes.

plus, slob did a suspended. i mean, shit, it's incredible.
    great park, loved everything.

and i agree with posix.

Wow, this is just as close as the Rose Bowl, and maybe as close as the Orange Bowl may be on Tuesday...

I'll probably leave his open for a while, but don't worry. The other matchups will come within the usual 1-2 day margin.

Sierra Glen: The first thing I did here was track the suspended... Man... The stairs, the custome supports, the landscaping sifts... Whoa. That is simply the best suspened coaster I've ever seen. It's realistic and yet it has great pacing and location. The log flume was excellent as well. Unfortunently I don't feel like the rest of the park was quite up to par. The detail and attention seemed gone next to the brillent suspended. And one thing that would've taken a whole 10 seconds and improved the park by huge amounts- MOW THE LAWN! With the lawn mowed the park takes on a bright, soothing and classy atmosphere that reminds me of my first trip of Cedar Point. Not a bad park by any means though.

Synphany of Pollution- Horrable Thrust Air 2000-style twister. Just really, really bad. The invert was okay. It didn't really help or hurt matters imo. But it wasn't the coasters that made the park. The archeticture and theming looks to have had hours poured over them to creat the masterpieces we see there. I love the archeticture here, and the creative theme adds to it. This is where my vote goes, even though part of me wants to go the other way.

    32-32..

and when i look back at that LL piece of shit i honestly wonder why.

there are some pieces of architecture that turned out good, but it looked like the architecture that turned out good was a mere accident. Everything was thrown out, but there was not one, and i mean, NOT ONE, piece of innovation there. It contained two coasters that sucked, and then filled it up with architecture that was hideous, and although i haven't quite decided yet, possibly landscaping that looked even worse. Please don't let this piece of shit win..

Then there's the incredible Sierra Glen.. WOW.

The suspended was lovely, though i didn't think the second part was quite as well executed as the first although i love that drop =P. But really, the log flume made my day! And with two nice things, it actually has more to it than our little LL friend, and it's filled up with classy architecture and classy landscaping, and it all looks good. Isn't that what it's about in the end?

And when you think about the skill level of the parkmaker, what takes more skill? Throwing just another ugly piece of crap out, that looks like it could have been created 3 years ago and still wouldn't have been innovative? (which, ironically, seems to be what the park was going for) ---(i especially hate the go kart track and tubes that serve no purpose then being ugly)--- Oh, and then there is the trouble RCT2 has. To make all that custom scenery look harmonious. And Sierra Glen does just that. Even the white supports that would stick out normally look lovely in this park. The only, and i mean only, really negative point i can tell you about Sierra Glen imo besides the lack of stalls in buildings is; The damn wooden walls not working out quite as well as they were supposed too. Anyways, building a monotone park like this, and still keep it easy and interesting to look takes skill, and imo the other park is made by just another person.

    I voted for Sierra Glen.

though i have to add the coaster loses a lot of its touch when you turn the view ;). But the best thing about the park is that log flume.. one awesome station too.. Oh well, clear cut case imo, and people are thinking differently. How dare they .

    LOL. Oops! :(X

Man, what a race! I wonder what the closest H2H matchup ever is... I'm definitely going to leave voting open for a bit to see if we can get a good margin one way or another. The next matchup will go up tomorrow morning though.

Anyway, biased though I am, I'd have to agree with WME in some respects. :D It's CLASS vs CLASH. I think that would sum it up pretty well. :yup:

    Go for Gold.

What a amazing park. i just look at those screens and it was clear Sierra Glen was the best. Then i had a look at the parks and wow. Sierra Glen.
    i can't believe it's 33:33 atm.
    Look at that park. amazing.
    slob i love you too.

Wow my vote puts SG in the lead by one. It was more consistent, more intriguing and, ultimately, more enjoyable for me. Symphony had its moments (like the loop round the cafe and the lovely tech-architecture in the entrance section), but with sloppiness like the toxic pool (why?!) and the lackadaisical final inversions on the invert, it ended up appearing more like a dischordant mess than a symphony.

Sierra Glen gets my vote for having a wonderful coaster, restrained but beautiful theming and no terrible toxic pool!

Ride6 - I don't think grass in glens is generally mowed. I liked the slightly worn effect the grass gave in its un-mowed state.

    Sierra Glen was much better
I also can't believe that the vote is so close

Ok i am on THe MoLLesters team but SG really bored me. Ok the inverts good but the atmosphere just didnt cut it for me.
The archy was ok but nothing special and its all be done before really.

Our park however did at least try to pull off a New idea. Although the coasters were not great the idea worked with 1 side of the map polluting the other.

I indeed dont understand how this is so close. Neither park is great but SG really isnet even that good for me...

    Sorry whoever built it lol

it's funny gutterflower, becuase i feel the same exact way, except i can't believe your (your team's) park is this close. WME's post pretty much sums up how i feel.

this really is a question of style. whether one likes understated classiness or novel (that's negotiable) sloppiness is deciding the vote. either way, i honestly am surprised it's this close.

whoever wins though, good job on getting parks in for both teams. let's keep that streak alive, everyone.

This proves that 51% of NE can't tell the difference between Class and a pile of shit. And $10 goes to say half of that 51% voted for MoLLesters purely cause they wanna prove a LL park can beat a RCT2 park.

Edit: Majority of this post was cause I was sick of being annoyed by LL team mebers I have got imed by two members of the team and 1 pm pleading for votes.
  • thorpedo%s's Photo
I'm sorry to be frank, but fucking excuse you, man.

We don't say that your park is a pile of shit because it isn't, and I know ours isn't either. It's all a matter of taste, so you can have your opinion, but before you run your mouth off, remember that a lot of hard work and effort went into both parks and are worthy of all the votes they got.
  • Roomie%s's Photo
I agree. I find your park boring and its lack of originality and use of colours dull but thats just my taste in parks. it is however obviously not a piece of shit. Both parks are good pieces of work that deserve the votes they get. Its all a matter of taste.
it appears you dont respect other peoples taste and just insult them instead.
