Solid stuff. I think someone of the colors could be changed a bit, specifically the trees could use some more variation. Even the Archy is a bit dull, though I know it's like that in real life.

With a park like this, you really have to try and portray those small details well to give the park some more atmosphere and believability. Right now it seems your kind of straying away from doing that, it would help a lot though!

I want to see planters of some sort beneath the trees, and perhaps fewer benches, or otherwise some cohesion between them

I agree with the benches, some of them can definitely go. The trees I'll be leaving as is, just because that's how they are in the real park; most of them grow right up through gravel with no planters or fences around them at all. Thanks for your input, it will be nice to keep getting comments like this to improve the park!

The archy being boring is something I've been wrestling with since starting this park... the balance between making it look realistic and making it look good in-game is something I am still working on. I can absolutely use some different colors for the trees (and some other stuff) to try to make it look a bit more realistic. Thanks for the comments though, really helpful!

    Grey isn't a theme.

You've captured the depression of these American amusement parks rather well.

    Haha, this ! ^

I must agree with G Force, add more details, make it more colorful, starting with the trees, and it will be funnier.

Knoebels is nothing like the majority of American amusement parks and is anything but depressing. In many ways it's the anti-American corporate park. Unfortunately this screenshot is soulless and feels nothing like Knoebels in any way, shape or form.

I visit this park all the time and before reading the description I never realized it was supposed to be Knoebels. Knoebels has tons of trees, bright colors and atmosphere. While this is admittedly not one of the prettier parts of the park, I still don't really think this feels like Knoebels. I'd suggest adding in a lot more color, even if you need to embellish a little. I'd suggest making the pathways less overwhelming too.

Downdraft and 1001 Nachts are also really undersized right now. Maybe making a custom, non working flat would look better? Right now they look way too small, especially 1001 Nachts. Plus... the fact that 1001 Nachts would be closed and non working would be nice for realism purposes too. lol

I agree with above.. the idea that US amusement parks are the patched up ruins of depression and capitalism is a stereotype beat to death.

I'm not one to critique as I'm just a noob working on his first project, but from a guy building a forest, I think you need to diversify the color of your trees and add colored plants where possible. Placement of objects will be crucial to create the correct atmosphere and give the park life. The park isn't bad per-say, it just doesn't really make you feel anything- its cold, like Coasterbill said.

As I said, proper/better plant placement and object tweaks will be your greatest asset in improving this park.  Its okay to take liberties here and there to make the park look better.  Best of luck to you and use them trees!

It's been a long while since I last worked on this project. Added quite a bit over the last couple months. Here are some of the rides near the Pioneer Train and Skloosh.
