I really enjoy the consistent improvement that your screens are showcasing. Your architecture has improved in each of your submissions, and I'm looking forward to the completed park. Only gripes are the rock formations around the water just because the object is low-poly and stands out. Also, perhaps the foliage could use a planter just so it doesn't appear as if it's growing out of the sidewalk. Beyond that, I like it, and keep it up!

very nice improvement.  The attention to detail and scaling are markedly better compared to the previous screens.  I do hope you start using some additional roof textures.

Looking good man. That mill is beautiful.

I'm a sucker for recreations and this is a great park to recreate. You seem to be building at a pretty solid pace. How far along do you think you are?

I was going to agree with dr dirt on the roof textures but then I checked back on your other screens and they look varied enough to me. There is a lot of that steel roof in this particular screen, but I'm guessing from the other screens that that's accurate and there are other roof textures out of frame that will make it look less steel-roof-heavy in context.

Recreation or not, that is some solid RCT.

It is official. You are improving faster than me! :p

That is a good thing though! This is impressive!

this is great! love the little bridges.

    Love it

It would be cool if you could get rid of all the wood platforms the food stalls sit on and replace them with normal path blocks.

Other than that no complaints, more solid improvement.

I feel the same like everyone else. Improvement everywhere! One thing I hate in this screen is that flag object, it looks aweful. But as it's the best there is, I'll let it pass. Great job! I do hope that when the park is near completion you'll go back and redo some of the older areas to make them the same quality as this.

@Sniff, thanks for the compliments. I'm not exactly sure what you mean about the 1K rocks, they seem to be what everyone on the site uses for similar rock formations.

@dr dirt, thanks for the compliments! I find that I'm paying more attention to the little stuff in the park, which makes it easier to recreate in game. About the steel roof textures: I do use other roof textures in other parts of the park to balance these out (as hpg said), but I'm still thinking about changing at least one of the buildings to a different texture in this screen in particular.

@hpg, I'm about 65-75% completed with the park as a whole, but I will go back through and revise older areas. I've already gone back and redone many areas, but there is still more to be done.

@nin, thanks! I'm glad you think it looks solid, recreation or not!

@BlazingEmpireHD, I wouldn't say I'm improving faster per se, but we seem to be racing... =P But in all seriousness, thanks for the compliments!

@Cocoa, thanks! It's just like that IRL too!

@G Force, I kinda liked the wooden floors, just because that's what I assume this building has in real life. But I'll see if I can use something that looks more realistic. And thanks for the compliments!

@Jappy, Thanks! I'm not sure I like the flags either, but I tried other options, and the building needs something there. IRL, it is US flags as shown in the screen, but I might be able to try something else. And as I mentioned above, I have gone through and made big changes and improvements all over the park, but I will plan to do more once I've completed the entire park. At that point it will be "improve this here, change that there, etc." until I can make this the best it can be.

    Good screen! I like it.
I'd suggest to throw some colourful flowers into the mix. Could do wonders.
I like how you're improving for each screen you post. Good work. Keep it up!

Excellent! I wish you could make those spinning roofs functional but I can't really think of a way to do it either. I might try to make them look a bit more rounded though.

I so wish I could make them spin as well. Right now, the water wheel and gears all spin, and it would look so damn cool to have the roofs spinning too. Maybe I could make a custom animated object, but that is well beyond my expertise right now.

It's wonderful to get these comments from the master of recreations! Flowers I can add for sure!

if there's one thing that can be seen as a spiritual successor to lagom's work (lagomism), it's this. i think a lot of people were expecting for some odd reason that lagoms recreational, hyper-realistic style would somehow inject theme back into the realism genre (as they say that pacificoaster stole away, somehow. look at DAW and paradise pier and then try  to claim that again.) otherwise i do appreciate it.

some things i think you should consider: texture, smoothness of rooves, and making things more readable to the viewer rather than the peep/guest. some good texture choices that arent the vertical wood would do fantastic here. there's 4-5 wooden textures in this game that if you integrated them properly would bring some much needed richness to the whole picture. i also thing that using octagonal roof structures instead of the jagged ones would make those kind of rooves a lot smoother.

  • saxman1089%s's Photo
I mean, from a strictly recreational standpoint, you can't recreate themes if they aren't there. This park is a good example in that there isn't much theming, or you would say the theme is simply "family amusement park". I think we need to wait for someone to recreate a park with theming, which I'm sure will eventually happen.

As for the screen itself, I will definitely fix the jaggedness of the roof blocks on the pavilions. They need to be more round and that will help. I'll also be sure to consider some more wood textures for the mill building, or maybe the shed behind it.

oh no im not telling you to recreate themes. that was meta commentary, the second paragraph is what's relevant to this screen.

Oh, I know. I just wanted to put my two cents in, for whatever they're worth. =)
