Really enjoy the sequence when first opening the park. You've got a knack for giving parks an extra sense of kinetic energy, Jan. My favorite parts of this park are the Arrow looper, the railyard, and the outstanding half-sunken shipwreck. Nice work

Congrats on gettin such a cool park done, its quite large too! I like how the density changes across the park. The city section is my favorite, its so evocative of that time and place. The scale of the buildings is impressive. I really enjoy the Prypiat Bobby, probably my favorite ride in the park. The collection of custom flats are all creative and cool. The power plant itself is well done too, it's huge!! This palette allows for some real cool use of colors, love that!! The rundown boat outside the hyper is the best detail in the park!!

This was a great park.  The HBO Chernobyl TV series is probably one of my favorite ever so I really enjoyed exploring this.  So glad someone has finally done something with a concept like this, taking advantage of the fact the town had a little park in it too.  The coasters were all well done too which really elevated this to the next level.  Kind of strange that the midway doesn't connect all the way around the park, but I can excuse that since this wasn't trying to be super realistic.  Thanks for submitting!

Thanks for the comments so far. I have to give a huge shout out to P2 for basically doing every inch of foliage. It looks so good. He has a great eye for making that look outstanding.

Fun map to look through. I'm always a sucker for that deep blue water color even though that tends to be more of a hit on DKMP than NE. Layouts were all solid, the arrow probably being my favorite. I think there are multiple instances of really nice architecture here (especially with an eastern bloc theme being a bit of a handicap in and of itself), but overall it is fairly apparent two different players tackled the archi. I think a bit more iteration on architecture and foliage would have significantly elevated this for me.

Such a cool park to walk thought.  Find it interesting/funny that you have an active nuclear meltdown and people just enjoying their day on the rides.  Really like the area around the explosion.  very convincing.  Well done!

Very solid park here. Good details and the opening with the explosion sells the location and gives the map character. Ride design very solid as well and neat palette shenanigans to get that corroded look where you cant with regular objects. Well done, looking forward to more!

Really impressed with the plant recreation with full interiors, also nice work integrating elements of the real life park in Pripyat into the map.

Solid work overall. Like 94, I think the Arrow was well-executed. The overall concept is incredibly cool, and the apartment buildings in particular bring me back to my COD4 days playing Bloc. The park layout didn't blow me away (the back in particular feels a tiny bit bottlenecked compared to the rest), but the front has some great moments. The radiation symbol subtly sketched into the deep blue water is an outstanding touch. Buildings are good - you nailed the power plant.

Overall, I think there's enough skill present for this park to comfortably land as a high silver, and potentially slip into the gold territory.

The opening cinematic is so fun, and the coasters are great. You guys nailed the vibe on this one - instantly recognizable. There are some real stand out architectural moments in here and it's a fun, fun build to explore. I agree with Bluetiful, I think it's high Silver/low gold - 70% from me.

    Amount of content: A+

    Theme: A+

    Cohesion: B

    Aesthetics: B-

In my view, part of nailing the theme is selling a degree of immersion. The blown reactor and apartment blocks with the iconic Ferris Wheel were awesome. I think the park would have benefitted greatly from a stricter aesthetic palette, including scrapping some of the large coasters with bright colors in favor of more coherent elements that sell the theme. I landed on 70%, and would have gone higher if the whole park was a "Chernobyl" park, and not 60% Chernobyl with 40% random modern amusement park elements. Either way, it's a great park; very fun to explore, and showing a ton of promise.

i struggled slightly with this one, but ultimately the score and the silver feels pretty spot on to me.

love the opening scene, very clever. lots more very clever moments all through the park, and overall a decent job of getting the point across.

i couldn't quite get on board with a lot of the theming, the water in particular felt very strange and pulled me out of the viewing experience. however the rides were all pretty strong, especially the wooden coaster in the back which i particularly enjoyed - that was more like 75% work for me, great track color there and the vines snaking up the supports was a really cool look.

  • Description

On April 26, 1986, Reactor Number 4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant exploded. This was the result of severe negligence and incompetence. Several people died in the immediate aftermath of the explosion and thousands more fell ill or perished due to the radioactive contaminants that spewed out of the open reactor core.

In a parallel universe, years before the disaster, Soviet officials wanted to attract more plant employees and residents to nearby Pripyat, an industrial city that housed all the plant workers. They decided to integrate a theme park into the grounds of the power plant as well as in the nearby woodlands. Was this a good idea? It seemed so at the time. However, in this parallel universe the disaster would still happen at 1:23:45 on April 26, 1986 and Soviet officials would still cover up and underplay the fatal amounts of radiation spewing from the reactor. The peeps don’t seem to know that their visit to the theme park will soon be their last.

Legasov: DON’T LET THEM FLY DIRECTLY OVER THE CORE! THEY’RE GETTING TOO CLO…..
