Yeah, I know it's weak for me to vote for myself for rookie, so? I had at least a couple other spots where I could've voted for myself and I knew I wasn't the best of the contestants.

And now for my votes and explanations.

Park of the Year
My Vote: Cajamarca 1532 by Coaster Ed and tracidEdge
Strange voting for a park that didn't even win it's own respective match-up, but that one was a match for the ages. This park really exemplifies how great LL parks can be. Every time I open up this park I find something else that makes me say "Wow!". Ed is probably the most talented and creative person to ever play the game, and it seems like he outdoes himself every time. "Collision Course" was an awesome ride idea, and the Flyer had a great layout. Second place for me was Ghost Cell Crisis...shows how incredible Blitz could be if he was more active. Aviara Cove and Gotheburg were about even for third place, and Disastrous Paradise and Venetian Harbour brought up the rear for me.

Wow what a close race for this award. Usually there's a 3-game winner that runs away with it, but there were none this year. At first I was going to go with Corkscrewed who had 2 wins and looked like he might get 3 with his round 3 slob collaboration, but that never came about. I was also considering ride6 since he picked up two wins and one loss, but his two wins were gigantic, as big as you could possibly imagine. First shocking JKay and Titan in the semi-finals, and then picking up the clinching victory almost singlehandedly (with a lil help from leighx) to secure the championship over Kumba and Jacko. Still, I went with X-Sector who also had 2 wins, almost equally important, and he went up against some stronger competition in my opinion. His first park Disastrous Paradise eliminated the extremely dangerous Icons from playoff contention, beating the team's two highest picks (WME/Phatage). Then he went and won game 1 of the finals, beating slob's absolutely amazing Gotheburg with "The Faraway Tree". While the second win wasn't my choice...there's no denying how valuable X was to the championship run of the Germans. And besides, like the NBA, the winning team usually gets the MVP. Blitz and Ed both delivered one amazing park that automatically put them in contention, and Kumba's 2 wins made him a candidate...although he lost the big one.

Captain of the Year
My Vote: Themeparkmaster
Somewhat a darkhorse candidate for this award. He took an all LL team that nobody expected to the playoffs with no forfeits. He didn't even have that many big name parkmakers (minus Nate & Roomie), and still pulled this off. Im sure many will vote for posix who won it all, but I think he'd be the first to admit that he was quite dependant on ride6 to help with the captian duties. Also Kumba was a good candidate, although his methods were too questionable and he seemed very obnoxious at times to several of his team members. Still, he kept things in order. Still, TPM had my vote locked since he clinched a playoff birth, something I thought would be impossible.

Best Steel Coaster
My Vote: "Das Duell"
Another pretty close match-up in my opinion. These two duelers from Gotheburg gained a lot of praise, but also a lot of criticism from those who said the colors were unimaginative, they were too inspired from Dueling Dragons, and that they needed a little more speed. I didn't find any of these problems with these coasters, they were easily my favorites of the whole season. "Pandemonium" was second for me, that ride immediately inspired a new type of ride adventure with it's several different speed variances and non-stop barrage of vertical hills and drops, one of the most unique coasters I've ever seen. "Collision Course" is third, mainly due to the awesome concept and flawless execution of it. "Halotosis" was a great Beemer by Titan with some wacky JKay theming...but it never really stood out. Slob's suspended "Peregrin" was awesome, as were WME's duelers, but not as great as Gotheburg's.

My Vote: "Casaus"
In my opinion this is a one horse race. There were several strong candidates, but only one that really needed serious consideration. The only one that could even come close to WME's woody would probably be "Lush Valley Roar" from Cliffs of Utopia, but even that is a reach.

Best Non-Coaster
My Vote: "The Flood"
This one was very tough for me. Again...there wasn't the real strong candidate in this award like there usually is. I mean we had "Streets of New York" really define this award a couple years ago. Now it's between a couple great rapids ride, and a somewhat tired overplayed adventure ride (Rockwood...too many timed explosions). I gave it to Disastrous Paradise cause it was the best ride in the park that took out the Icons, and really overshadowed the park's coaster, a great water ride. JKay's "Lotic Waters" almost stole my vote, I loved that one. Cork's other ride "Apocalypse Plunge" (the cool freefall from Aviara) was awesome but not quite significant enough. The other two had no chance for my vote.

Best Chemistry
My Vote: slob and Drew
I understand Slob did a majority of the work here, but I woudln't have known that prior to my vote. Still, these two have similar styles and it was genius to pair them up. You could have told me Drew did 99% and I wouldn't have that much trouble believing you (well, maybe a little). Still, very similar parkmakers, very smart to match them.

My Vote: Kumba and Jacko Shanty
This idea was fucked from the beginning it seems. It started with an idea. Jacko had a way of presenting this idea, and he built the robot. Kumba didn't like the idea. Kumba did a lot of work that Jacko didn't really like. Kumba sent it back to Jacko who was disheartend with the project and didn't do that much to it. Kumba flipped a shit and went crazy finishing the park himself pretty much. Unfortunately, it didn't work with the crazy colors and everything else I've talked about in the past and it went on to lose the deciding game in the finals. Ouch.

Most Disappointing Parkmaker
My Vote: natelox
Nate's one of my all time favorite parkmakers at New Element, as well as one of my all time favorite people at the site, so this isn't meant to bash him. He's just one of the greatest parkmakres of all time, and he came out of Head2Head3 with two losing entries...neither seemingly having that Nate spark to them. First he and Panic failed to finish "Excavation de la Forclaz", and then him and Gutter kinda put together a 'half and half' park in "Tissot Archipelago" that had all sorts of mechnical problems and lost quite soundly to Aviara Cove. Most parkmakers in this category were very disappointing however. Jacko Shanty went 0-2, not really doing much of anything on either "Suck City" or "Day After Tomorrowland" after he was a very sought after parkmaker at the draft. Turtle barely did anything as well, coming off his Spotlight Park with only making the layout to "La Puerta del Atlantia", the infamous park that lost twice for the Clubbers. Phatage struck out and went 0-2, with two interesting entries, so I didn't vote for him. Metro lost at the beginning of the season, and wasn't seen from since, and Gymkid did really nothing other then slightly assist Old Red in losing with The Cave.

This award should probably go to "The Day After Tomorrowland" since there were some awesome ideas in that park...just badly done. But "The Cave" was such an awesome idea that despite it's complete lack of any solid rides or theming almost pulled off a win against the solid Paradise Island. I hope to see someone else try this idea and pull it off a little better cause it truly is a brilliant idea.

My Vote: Slob
Sure Slob didn't win one game this year (which automatically took him out of consideration for MVP). But still his two parks were both absolutely beautiful in my opinion. Starting with Sierra Glen with Drew that half cemented my vote for this award, and then the solo Gotheburg which gave him the nod by about 200% percent. ride6 comes in second for me in this award with his amazing accomplishments and important victories. My Vote: Splash O
This was between Splash O and magnus for me. I went with Splash O cause his two wins were a little more impressive. First, he and Valp came out of nowhere to deliver the most underrated park of the season in "Cliffs of Utopia". Then he and X went on and took Slob out with "The Faraway Tree", with Splash actually doing a considerable amount of work. Maggie did great too with his two parks (highlighted by his work in Life Is A Roller Coaster). Loopy was also a great surprise, and did awesome for the MoLLesters.

Cost it's team two losses. First it wasn't submitted on time so the team forfeited a week. Then they kept their name on the park name and were forfeited the next week. Ouch

Although technically Blitz wasn't really a rookie. And thanks for including that last (bonus) category just so I can actually win something.

Also Kumba was a good candidate, although his methods were too questionable and he seemed very obnoxious at times to several of his team members.

Yeah I was clearly the "Bobby Knight" of all the captains as any of my team mite tell you, but like Knight I took my team far, witch rememinds me, thx for reminding me I lost the big one

After reading Iris's post I realized just how much I did... Yikes. Yet I'm probably not desirving of any awards since I didn't do anything quite as well as other people in each catigory. Oh well, at least I have a ton of nominations.

Like Iris said Rookie is the only one where I've got a shot, and rightfully so. Personally I think we didn't see nearly as many great parks here as we did in h2h2 however it could something to do with the refinment level that the primary game was at during the competition. LL had been out ~4 years before h2h2 and the original roughly 5. Rct2 has 'only' been out since October of 2002 so that makes this ~2.5 years. hmmm...

It was fun anyway.
