It sounds like a really great device to have. I for one want one. It would just be ridiculously cool to be able to watch movies on the move with that amount of battery. 20h is huge, how could you want more? Do you guys listen to music all but four hours of the day or something?

I don't know whether to be happy or upset. My dad's 40 gig broke about two weeks ago and it has a service plan with best buy, so they most likely will give him a new one, so he'll have one of these. I bought a 60 gig a few months ago so now I'm like, wtf, a new one, again. Oh well at least these thing break within two years. So since I have a service plan for two years when my breaks they'll have a model that works as a phone, camera, satellite navigation, video, photo, and maybe they'll even still play music.

I'm sure that wont apply if the ipod isn't worth the price to fix it, how serious would a fried hardrive be? And where did you hear this?

I didn't hear it from anywhere. It's what happened to me when the previous iPod came out. I got a 4G back.

at the apple store here they will give you one right off the shelf, or a voucher for the original price.

I really don't understand the hype and glamor of those things. I mean really, who listens to 15,000 different songs. If you have that much time on you're hands put it to good use.

I just got a 20 GB one yesterday because Best Buy is trying to get rid of them for a lower price and I had no interest in video capabilities.
