RCT Discussion / biggest frustration of rct?

Sprite limit is at the top of my list followed by the way the game identifies objects three different ways in different places, and a small color pallette. Also, it would have been nice to have implemented a "click and drag" feature when building instead of having to individually click every single object (like dragging paths).

It bothers the hell out of me that I don't the full name of the wooden coasters at the bottom of the object list. The name's are so long that the SE window doesn't show it all. And there isn't any way to resize the window, or scroll horizontally, or anything. I'm always unsure if the six-seater is forwards or backwards, or if it's a six-seater at all.

That, and the fact that you have to leave the rct window to use 8cars all the time bothers me also.
It always screws up the music I've got going on in the background... 8@

RCTLL: The speed at which it runs on Virtual PC. I think the problem is more with Virtual PC than with RCT, but it is very frustrating none-the-less.

how incredibly slow the game goes...

    1. The amount of time required to create even a small area of high quality.
    2. The way certain coaster elements look good in some views but look like shit in others.

    time.

the sheer amount of time it takes to make a workbench/map/landscape for something usually drains me.

maybe i just love my Xbox too much, or am too ADD, but there always seems to be a better way to waste two hours.

YES, glitches are annoying but you are forcing the game to do something it isnt supposed to do. To be fair, CS has created a well oiled piece of software, I mean the annoyances are only minor compared to other games (RCT3 for example, or other games from other genres).

My biggest beef with RCT2 is the lack of a mute button, very strange descision to remove this feature. Also, you can run in windowed mode, which is especially aggrevating when you want to chat + play. Obviously the limits built in to the game are senseless too. :-\

Loading times from rct1 compared to rct2, and that rct2 makes my computer run very slow...

Although there a few of them in RCT2, the one I hate the most is the random "Unknown" error trappers I get when I have 8cars open. Its a glitch that seems prevelant when running RCT2 in Windows XP editions, as I never used to get those when I ran Windows ME. Theres nothing like randomly losing RCT work. Even though it's usually only 15-20 minutes worth (i save quite frequently), it still sucks ass.

My biggest frustration is finding the time. Once I'm in the game it's gravy.
