I've actually gotten better hacking advice from rct2.com than anywhere else, here included. -

hey all
moved back to uni and found id left both my RCT cds back home. so had to suspend it all a bit.
anyway the learning process continues.
Ive been going through a few other parks to see how archy seems to be done
Although its not great i think its a significant improvement from the first screens (the screen is down and right slightly to one of the first ones)
PS i know the support on the bridge is the wrong tile. fixed that after i took the screen -

It'd be cool if you could have different shades of grey for the trees cos then it would look like different leaf colours with the actual colour sapped out of them.
It looks freaky but good. -

It looks really freaky, but good as Mantis says. I don't like the trees at all though, the colours of the bark draws me away from the rest of the screen. -

Haha, I have to say I like it. It looks like your rct2 was made in the 50's since it's black and white. Its a cool concept.

Good catch, trav. Although I hadn't noticed the treetrunks before, now it's all I can look at. Maybe you could customise the trunk colour too? That might be too much bother, I don't know. -

This does bring me back... http://www.freewebs....unnamedpark.htm
Personally I think your b/w screens needs more contrast to make up for the lack of colour, Gutterflower. -
Roomie Offline
yeah i agree on the contrast. something im working on.
On the tree side of things. Without those trees i have no uhhh trees. those are the only bits of flora that come anywhere near (within the PT2 bench) and i dont currently know how to add in scenery to an already started park -

Newk, It's funny that you mention Pleasantville, because RCTandy took that idea already:

I'm sure you can get ideas from there. -

I was just going to say that Hepta. Me and Andy were friends, he is the god at non-custom scenery tracks. He inspired me to play this game. -

I like the approach you are taking here. Even though all three screens are somewhat minimalistic I still like what you are doing. The third screen is my favorite. I like how it could almost pass for LL and has a great natural feel too it. Beautiful coasters too.
So yeah. Nice update Dave. Looking forward to this one! -

I like the second to last screen there, the way the building spans the walkway, then descends down past the cliff.
