H2H4 / ChillerHockey Blacklisted/Replaced

Yeah. Besides, it's not really banned forever. Just the next year at the very least. Say we have H2H6... by that time, if Chiller wants to participate again, people would have forgotten or forgiven it anyway.

wow. i really started a dabate.

well im kinda drawn in the middle. i understand what panic is saying. not everyone has a perdictable future so to say they cant participate in future years for dropping out at the last second is abit harsh though i understand it is hard to see if they just dropped out becasue they felt like it or weather they really couldnt do a park. either way i think from another view they should look at there calender before making a commitment. also they could and should work with their at the beggining to find a time they can best help their team. so mixed feelings

I must say I agree entirely! Can't help but feel that nowadays people only too easy drop out on voluntary jobs. My son had an re-enactment weekend two weeks ago and 80% of the volunteers just dropped out because it was raining! Not funny for those that didn't and had to do all the work with only a few!
On the other hand, there can be personal matters, like urgent or serious family matters. Those things go first of course and that is quite understandable but how can you know for sure on the web? I think it is a good rule. Some peeps may suffer from it and that is too bad of course, but on a whole I feel this is the only way to get huge things like H2H to work!

Still, it's good to see Mama Bear in the competition - now we get to see some collabos that aren't T&M ;)

As far as the black listing goes, at the risk of looking like a mantis fanboy, "

I think it's probably the only place the line could be drawn to make sure people don't just lazily drop out all over the place."

    That should sum up everything!

    ^ I agree with you.........to a certain extent,

A member can have severe unforseen problems, personal or on computer-things, like the last thing happened to Mama Bear.........so where is the line to "blacklist" people?? Would you applaud it if Mama Bear would be blacklisted next week because her computer did not come back from the repair-shop in time.....and because of that she could not live up to the promises (while we all,...well at least you and me, know how involved and reliable she is!)

I don't know exactly the reason for blacklisting Chillerhockey (though I do have my ideas that it was "justified".....) and I absolutely agree that a line must be drawn to forecome "laziness" and "easyness" in these things, but let's also admit that this "line" is not a hardcoded thing and is dependent on the personal judgement of other people....which can be great, but does not always have to be , for these other ones are also "just people" with their own brilliant things, inside-views etc. as well as their own flaws and shortcomings and omissions.....

Nevertheless, we cannot "democratically" decide with all 2000 or whatever number of members here on who "deserves" to be blacklisted and who not, so, although I can understand very well why people are questioning this, I also agree that is is necessary to delegate these decisions to a smaller group....

i'm sure if you can explain yourself to the extent where it is definite that it is impossible that you can complete any entry, yet a few months ago it was very likely that you could compete to full extent, irsi/corkscrewed or whomever won't ban you.

    somehow, i don't think that's the case.
