I discovered this in a very convoluted manner. I was looking for a job, which took me to a cabinet maker (who's services my mom requires as she is moving) who's website provided me a link to The Interview With God. I initially thought it was going to be a humorous affair, but turned out to be really touching. If you don't believe in God, don't worry about it. It really doesn't have anything to do with God, but it mostly concerns itself with universal truths. Enjoy!

My AP Biology teacher did a spoof on this. Used the same photos, same music, same kind of text transition affect. Although, instead of all those beautiful, uplifiting, and encouraging phrases, he had things that made us feel horrible:
"God said, it's okay that you're a loser"
"Someone has to collect the garbage cans."
"When God shuts a door, he opens a window--so you have something to jump out of."
he played the presentation before we took the final. -

As a Christian, I am offended by that.Everyone Knows God does not exist.
Seriously though, try thinking a little before you blurt out your verbal vomits. Just because you think so doesn't mean everyone else does or should. And seeing as how Christianity remains the number one religion in the world by a long shot, you just sounded as foolish as a person who denies the existence of gravity.
Anyway, Nate really cool find, and very uplifting. Funny enough, I'm pretty sure that all of those photos were taken from Webshots desktop wallpapers. -

Wow call me a cynic but yeesh...that was painful.
Geoff's teacher's version sounds much better. -

He sounded foolish because he didn't take into consideration half of the world still has their heads up their asses. And yes, he was foolish since you actually do, usually, take into acount what other people think and what they will feel like about something you say.
But what is really foolish is the comparison to gravity. Someone denying the existence of gravity could only, well, blame the earth's stickyness to some god. Since the unexplanatory seem to be the only subject gods handle, and thus the only reason god's non-existence can't be proved. Then again, i have a philosofising friend that told me he had proof once, i'll have to get back to that with him sometime.
But really, I like the idea of believing in 'something else', but to put that feeling of hope and need into words and a bible seems to make no sense at all. A feeling of hope that needed to be put in most of the rest of the world instead of having them figure it out for themselves because they are probably, each and almost every single one of them, too stupid to think for themselves.
Anyways, i'm no religion hater, and i even said once it brings a lot of good to the world. People caring for each other, Mother Theresa, stuff like that. And a whole lot of hope and less depression on a whole. The thing is, lately that same friend as earlier pointed out what the cause of basically every war in history was.
But this is really off-topic, since the video is just sentimental bullshit that i love as well, and indeed, has nothing to do with god. -

I watched that half expecting a Zombie to jump out in an attempt to scare the shit out of me.
Anyway, nice views, but really not my kinda thing. -

Religions haven't courted me, nor do I believe in God or other such powers. However, I tend to reject atheism and/or agnosticism if they are painted on me. I prefer the term 'open-minded.' I find myself accepting of religions, races, orientation, etc. Thus, I accept all of your positions on religion. My reasoning? Those who believe in God know that they are right. Those who believe in Allah know that they are right. In the same way, those who don't believe in God or Allah know that they are right. So, who is right? Well, everyone is right if viewed from everyone else's perspective. -

Atheism and agnosticism don't necessarily mean you aren't accepting of others' beliefs. I'm sure a fair share of Christians, Jews, and Muslims are accepting of others as well. It's just the vocal minority who are not. -

Acceptance and tolerance are different. I think most atheists are more tolerant than they are accepting. -

Wait...if I accept someone's beliefs, then that makes me tolerant of them, right? And if I don't, then i'm intolerant...
So where's the difference? -

Anyway, I firmly believe in the existence of God and that Jesus was our savior and whatnot. However, I don't believe that Christians should act self-righteous towards non-religious people or go into any of that "I'm better than you" or "you're gonna burn in hell" crap. Heck, the Bible says you're not supposed to judge anyway. Fanatics who are all into this crusadish mindset are nothing more than hypocrites.
Acceptance seems to be a little more involved than tolerant if you want to get down to semantics. If you tolerate something, you can at least take a neutral attitude. If you accept something, there is some feeling of positivity to it.
Oddly enough, "intolerant" WOULD suggest an active feeling of negativity towards another. Unaccepting, on the other hand, seems to suggest a more passive sense of this. -

I'd put it the other way round. If someone was singing really loudly on a bus or something, i'd tolerate it up to a point, before deciding I couldn't accept it.
Believing in god doesn't really matter to me, but returning to the topic of this...uh...topic, cloying bullshit like that presentation does have a tendency to piss me off. -
