Which rules did either of these topics break in order to justify its closure?

The second had the potential to errupt into a flame war, SO WHY WAS IT CLOSED!?!?!? I dont know if you guys remember the shit pile, but that was the funniest forum the site ever had. That closed, which was a daft move to make since it was optional reading. Now you're closing perfectly legit topixxx, and for what reason?

Its a joke that you're preventing a bit of harmless banter. Its even worse that you have taken it upon you're selves to close topics you dont deem interesting. What sort of a reason is that anyway!?

Well I opened the big topic back up coz otherwise we'd have no place to rant about realisum in RCT.

Mods use there own judgement, so if you got a beef with either closeing take it up with Panic or JKay.

^ because it stupid useless bull shit and thank god it was closed. I mean, those were the only few times I ever seen Old Red post on the site. And lately, Phatage has been posting worse than n00bs... i know i have some crappy post but come on, if it was ME debating with Old Red, the topic would have been closed in a heart beat...If im wrong, someone please tell me...i think im not ... and imo this should get closed up as well...

Phil, I don't have much sympathy for you on the second one . All that poll would've proved is how much better Phatage is at RCT than everyone else at this site, including Old Red. I simply saved us that expense.

My beef isnt with either Panic or JKay, as if I'm honest I quite like both of them. (I dont want to mate with either of you, though). My beef is with people having topics closed, especially when theres no immedietly threating reason to.

JDP, when you click on that link, its an action you choose to take. I like having that option, as much as I like having the option to spam the topic up further. There are members like myself who enjoy senseless spamming, I mean if the site were all serious it would be as flat as a pancake to browse.

And Phatage can post shit all he likes, if it bothers you that much, flame him back, you've have much right to as he does.

the first topic is fair, but the second point was just stupid. People can do the realism discussion, but the poll is just retarted. I think THIS topic needs to be closed.

Just stating my oppinion chief, if you want this topic closed, you're denying me that right, and you're denying others who may want to agree with me, the right to do so. Clearly you dont care about that though, I mean you've already had your say on the matter, so why should anyone else have that privelage.

As contradictory as it sounds, I'm going to reopen this topic, because it does really seem like proving his point about us being semi-tyrannical if we just close topics protesting authority. That's what they did at the Station, or so I hear.

The reason I closed that topic originally was because it was in the RCT Discussion forum, Phil. Two guys doing fake political campaigns over which one is the alpha male never belonged in that forum to begin with. I was cool with it when it was funny, but when that wore out after like a page there was really no reason for having that topic anymore.

However, I would entertain the idea of reopening Freespeak if there is enough support for it, because I do agree that that forum was funny shit. What do you guys think?

Firstly, Panic, I respect you for re-opening the topic. I also support the idea of opening the free speak forum back up but I seem to remember it being closed due to popular consensus

you know, i wasn't like this when i first started out (i was an asshole in a different sense) and neither were many of the assholes here today (although many have left), we started out playing this game called rollercoaster tycoon and then got tired of it really for one reason or another but decided to stay and entertain ourselves with our assholishness. would you rather have me around posting things that for some reason entertain myself that you don't have to read unless you click on the topic on your own volition with the chance that i make another park someday or just go away like so many others? if those two threads cost the site extra money, i'll pay Kumba for it... better yet iris will pay for it with the $100 he owes me that i wouldn't have asked for if he offered in the first place... does that mean that Kumba owes me $100?... does that mean I technically own the site for one or two months or however long $100 pays for?... well since I'm now the owner, what genius34234325 said applies for me in that i say reopen the threads.

Phil, in my opinion there's absolutely no correlation between bitchfights and flame wars and people "having balls." There's nothing mature or masculine about arguing on the Internet. If anything I think it shows less maturity in a person.
