Well, I think the fact to be hanged very bastard. They could just kill him on the electric chair and that would the same job. For sure, I don't say that he doesn't merits to be hanged, there could be other way to make the job... -

I read somewhere that the Iraqi gov't (or something like that) said that we (or whoever it is) had to hang him within 30 days or something would happen...but ah well...but isn't the world over the whole "hanging" thing?
But what do I care. -

According to Iraqi law, you have one appeal, and after that the sentence will be carried out in 30 days. Even if his appeal was successful, it was already stated that the Iraqi prosecution would just bring up charges until he was hanged.I read somewhere that the Iraqi gov't (or something like that) said that we (or whoever it is) had to hang him within 30 days or something would happen...but ah well...but isn't the world over the whole "hanging" thing?

Iraq is still a mess though. Wonder how this will effect the guerillas... -

I'm glad he's dead. It won't fix Iraq, but it's one of those things where there's really nothing bad about it. Kinda like receiving socks for Christmas. -

It's actually in Iraq law that executions will be performed by hanging. And take one guess who wrote that law for Iraq? Yep, Saddam. Good riddance. -

I'm assuming you use the term country loosely...Well, at least one country holds their leaders accountable.

wow... there's a Kumba statue? Oh yeah, in Orlando. It's a pretty fun "statue".
I think this makes the world a better place. -

I don't see how this makes the world a better place. Maybe removing him from power does, but not executing him. I say maybe because I realize that I personally know very little about Mr. Saddam Hussein, and it's become increasingly clear to me over the years that you really can't trust anything you can't verify on your own. Especially not in a "free" democracy where controlling interests have the most need for propoganda. And furthermore I don't believe in execution because I don't believe in evil. Evil is an idea created by people to justify whatever they need to justify. It doesn't really signify anything that actually exists. If you want to simplify this down to evil, there are dozens of people in the U.S. who are in large part responsible for Saddam Hussein's prolonged reign in Iraq and none of them got hung today. It really isn't that simple. But, like I said before, I do believe in holding people accountable. So at least there's that. -

Oh Ed, can't we just kill one deposed dictator without you getting all philosophical on us?
In other news, Blitz and I will have a drink for you at Disneyland tomorrow. Although it'll probably be of soda or something.
