 The DLP hotel! That totally reminds me that WATG did consultant work for that one. :D

I love the Victorian hotels. I feel that they, more than any other hotel, scream Disney. My favorite one is obviously the Disneyland Hotel in Paris, followed by this hotel (from the art at least), and then the Grand Floridian. Since the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is basically a larger Grand Floridian (at least on the outside), I'll tie it with the GF.

I guess I'm just adverse to every resort having so many similar elements.

Regarding the replacement for the Disneyland Hotel, why fix what's not broken? Sure it's dated, but it's the original Disney hotel. Plus, I've never heard anyone complain about that hotel. Now the Contemporary is another story, but that's just my two cents.

Usually Disneyland's Victorian hotel is the Magic Kingdom Hotel. I'd say the people who complain about the Disneyland Hotel are the same ones who complain that there is a piant chip on the underside of Tomorrowland trashcan 22. Of course, they'd raise holy hell as soon as demolition started on the Disneyland Hotel.

Sad but true. When I go to the parks, I don't even notice stuff like that. I'm there having a blast and nothing else matters. Obviously for many Disney fans these days a trip to the park means a bitchfest when they get to the nearest computer.

There are some areas where it is just unavoidable. Haunted Mansion and Main Street, USA are good examples.
