Great showing by the looks of things with some very close results, im in the process of reading through the chatlog to see some of the comments although i'm sure there will be masses later on once everyone has had a chance to view them. I'm pretty happy that i won the best Adventure ride with Turtle, i think it deserved it although IMO it could have been amde even better!

Now comes the sticky business about the Parkmaker status. First off, yes i do want to become a parkmaker at some stage, that has been my goal since i found out about NE but i don't think that this is the right time for me. I haven't released much and thos that have are very old and/or lost. I have the skills to become one and a lot of people like my style but it doesn't feel like i've earnt this spot and i'm obliged to respectfully decline, especially considering i was going to stop playing RCT2 when i got my place (if the hall of fame thing was going ahead).

I hope that this will give me a boost in terms of productivity knowing that all i have to do is finish a few designs and a big solo. IMO i think any of the guys below me deserve this more at present especially Tyandor or RCTNW.

Well, congrats anyways. At least you have the people behind you, so you'll clearly have that parkmaker spot (again) with your first big park release. So... now it goes to longtime non-NE parkmaker, RCTNW, correct? I suppose that probably is better, since it means that RCTFAN will now be much more likely to try and win spotlight, which is something we can all benefit from.

And I missed the NE awards by 5 minutes?!? Stupid library computers... I thought I was only going to miss the first few awards. Argh... I guess it couldn't be helped, since I had an essay to turn in in my last class of the day, and Ride6 failed us, making the starting time way earlier . Anyways, congrats to all the other winners and nominees. And thanks for voting for me. I really didn't expect some of those awards. I guess I need to finish more parks now.

And even though I didn't make it to the awards, the transcript was pretty funny. For example:

Congrats to all the winners. I'm still trying to figure out what the "Mr Cursed" award is all about. Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

In either case, I would like to thank the academy, my wife and children for all their support, my team captain (evil) for all the encouragement, to various team mates for making this a possibility [hears music playing in the background), my two dogs who keep my feet warm when I’m on the computer, NE and all its members for voting for me. I feel blessed. 

Seriously, congrats to all the winners. I hope to make it to show next year.

To some degree yes, but not nothing compared to Supreme Screamer's or RCTNW's work. Not that I'm complaining though
RCTFan did some great stuff lately. You shouldn't decline RCTFan. That your a parkmaker doesn't automaticly mean that you have to sit on your lazy ass
btw I even if I got a parkmaker spot offered I wouldn't want to have it before EGAS is finished. I did some amazing stuff on Nostalgia Vale (if I may brag, I'm just proud of it and for the matter I actually finished something). I personally don't know why I'm in the breakthrough award list because I hardly have a breakthrough besides the personal one of getting something decent in size finished. Now I want to know who the fanboy is because that single vote definately wasn't by me
As far as the rest of the awards list goes, I do think Masterpiece was to be spotlight, but I seriously don't like that Boscastle heights still is RU. At least make it SRU because it definately deserves more.

Thats a good idea, those should be separated. But I still think that in general, if you move something up from a RU to a SRU, its still something to be proud of.

It's because once you get to parkmaker there's really nothing left to prove or accomplish. It's like you just beat the Big Boss in Super Mario and finished the game.

Thats why we should also have the NE legends list. Basically like a hall of fame for the rct comunity.
