Louis can you just stop? Why can't people realize that queer, gay, and fag don't even refer to gay people anymore? It was fucked up 30 years ago because it was an insult to gay people. Now this mainstream term will never be changed so stop acting personally offended by it.

Tim, I really do like you, but that's really a stupid comment on your part. Regardless of present-day connotations, the fact is that "queer, gay, and fag" are all derogatory terms towards homosexuals. It's within every one of Louis's rights to be offended, just as it's in your rights to use those words. However, "fag' and "queer" still have negative connotations these days, regardless of whether or not they're being used in the context of homosexuality. While certainly less taboo than the N-word, it's still a term used to put down those different from the societal norm. I'm not stating you can't use the word, as that's your own choice, but you also need to understand that terms like that can be offensive, just like how 'retarded" is offensive to those with mental disabilities. Even out of context, the negative connotations of these words and their history can make them offensive. Just please keep that in mind before saying stuff like above.
