They don't much care about grammar and spelling in those classes, do they?
(sorry, couldn't resist) -

To the contrary, they care more then just about every JOU school in the US. They have this grammar test from hell you need to pass to take like 80% of the required classes. I have failed it 3x, but mainly because I was using the wrong study material, lol. I'll pass it next time know that I have found the right stuff, but damn it's hard, you need to have shit like transitive verbs, conjunctions, run-ons, shit like that...
Oh and I now recall High School, the valedictorian (sp?) of my class had a 6.8 and discovery a new number in math or something -

Kumba, why in the hell are you majoring in journalism with your grasp of the english language (Or lack thereof)? -

Coz it's something I enjoy. You sorta get a right to be annoying and ask questions, you get amazing access to places, people and events. I am also fairly good at gathering facts and creating good stories. As far as the spelling and grammer go thats my editors job -

0.0 = F
1.0 = D
2.0 = C
3.0 = B
4.0 = A
Without weight (since my school doesn't do that for us) my GPA is ~3.6. Considering the number on honor courses I've taken plus two semesters of AP Calc it's probably between 4.0-4.5 weighed.
Whatever it is it was enough that with a 29 on my ACT I was admitted into the University of Michigan and received a $40,000 ($5,000 for 8 semesters) academic scholorship. Part of the scholorship might've been that I was seriously considering less expensive schools though; and I was more than happy to tell them that.

I have a 4.0, but it will soon be a 3.88 or 3.76 when this semester ends. I need to keep 3.25 over 4 years to keep the bulk of my scholarships.
