    In my comp sci classes I finished with a 2.7 GPA. My overall was slightly higher. For whatever that's worth.

    Well I guess im dumb compared most of you all, however in Journalism major related classes I have a 4.0 (5 classes, 5 A's) :nod:
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
    They don't much care about grammar and spelling in those classes, do they? :p

    (sorry, couldn't resist)
  • Kumba%s's Photo
    To the contrary, they care more then just about every JOU school in the US. They have this grammar test from hell you need to pass to take like 80% of the required classes. I have failed it 3x, but mainly because I was using the wrong study material, lol. I'll pass it next time know that I have found the right stuff, but damn it's hard, you need to have shit like transitive verbs, conjunctions, run-ons, shit like that...

    Oh and I now recall High School, the valedictorian (sp?) of my class had a 6.8 and discovery a new number in math or something :eek:

  • eman%s's Photo
    Kumba, why in the hell are you majoring in journalism with your grasp of the english language (Or lack thereof)?
  • Kumba%s's Photo
    Coz it's something I enjoy. You sorta get a right to be annoying and ask questions, you get amazing access to places, people and events. I am also fairly good at gathering facts and creating good stories. As far as the spelling and grammer go thats my editors job :p

    I don't get how this scoring system works (being from UK).

    0.0 = F
    1.0 = D
    2.0 = C
    3.0 = B
    4.0 = A

    Without weight (since my school doesn't do that for us) my GPA is ~3.6. Considering the number on honor courses I've taken plus two semesters of AP Calc it's probably between 4.0-4.5 weighed.

    Whatever it is it was enough that with a 29 on my ACT I was admitted into the University of Michigan and received a $40,000 ($5,000 for 8 semesters) academic scholorship. Part of the scholorship might've been that I was seriously considering less expensive schools though; and I was more than happy to tell them that.

    I have a 4.0, but it will soon be a 3.88 or 3.76 when this semester ends. I need to keep 3.25 over 4 years to keep the bulk of my scholarships.
  • Gwazi%s's Photo
    4.0 cuz middle school's too easy. At least I get to go to high school next year. :D
