Yes, I'm all for environmental clean-up. But that's not about global warming. I don't think there was any debate about whether polution is bad or not.Even if global warming isn't what we think it is, as I'm guessing that presentation suggests, preserving the environment for future generations and living my life more efficiently is something I can get behind. Global warming not existing doesn't make the problem of how wasteful and lazy the typical American lifestyle is any less relevant, to me at least. I'm not saying I don't fall victim to it either.

Someone suggested you give up the dirtbike. You know, the one that serves no purpose to you except driving around in some mud. ...The one that's not street legal in most areas.America is fat. America is lazy. AND, just for MA, Most of those fat lazy people are white.
A few pages back, someone said i should give up the bikes.
If I'm going to get sixty miles to the gallon, I might as well have fun on it.
I will not be caught dead in a prious.(sp?)
If you're driving a motorcycle, it's a different topic entirely. That's called transportation. transportation is pretty useful.
 Fucking racist.

Efficiency and reducing your carbon footprint (for example) has everything to do with global warming though.

Only if you believe Global Warming to be true. And there's some pretty damn contradictory evidence on both sides.Efficiency and reducing your carbon footprint (for example) has everything to do with global warming though.
I think we can all agree polution is bad, as I've said. But as long as we spin the wheels debating over shit that we can't prove until it happens, the more politicians can ignore the obvious choice--Cleaning up the environment is good no matter who wins.

woofenskid, its easy enough to say your not a racist if you dont actively hate or discriminate against a race(and you try to define that as the only possible racism in your last post). But theres always those little racial assumptions and stereotypes that people might have grown up with or develop on their own. And being unable to grow out of those is almost as bad as full on racism in my opinion. Like saying that since black people are pissed off, since they all came over on a ship anyway they might as well go back. Well you know who decides "how its done here"? Us, them, and everyone in this country. So if you see an angry black man, he shouldnt go the fuck back to Africa, because he has just as much of a right to make a difference in our country as all of us. And that is the beauty of democracy. If a white man was protesting against the country, would you tell them to go back to Britain, or Ireland, or Germany, or wherever he came from? Or did you assume America was the white man's home and therefore they decide how everything is? Camcorder22

Sorry if I'm going a little overboard, the school I go to is pretty racially diverse, which means that everyone feels like they can tell each other to go back to their country. Theres even some racism through counciling, school events, etc. So a bit of a strong subject for me.
