okay so, one of the guys in my dorm, [we have suites, with 4 rooms in each. two guys to a room.]
his name is jair, and he literally freaks the crap out of me.

the RAs in our hall put him in a bedroom by himself, because apparently his roommate from last year was so freaked out, he ended up switching over to a completely different hall.

anybody else have any psycho roommates that worry you?

I lived with 3 roommates for a year; nothing like this ever went down... The only thing that I can remember that somewhat scared me was when two of them had taken some pills (not sure what pills.) When I talked to them they had no memory of the day before or even what day it was. When I preceded to tell them some things that they had done the day before they freaked out and didn't believe a lot of what I said. "we went to my parents house?? did we act normal???"

My wife is the only roommate that I have now, and she can't sing and she really sucks at guitar hero. haha. But I love her.

lol well i mean, he's a really nice guy, and can hold decent conversations at times, but like, every once in a while he'll get into one of his little 'singing moods', and he's just run around the room singing opera at the top of his lungs.
like the other night at 2 in the morning, he runs out onto the balcony, and starts singing his heart out.
we're on the top floor, overlooking the girls dorm, and the intracoastal.
so his voice carried a LOT lol.

oh, and the other day when we got our xbox hooked up to Live, he played halo from 2 in the afternoon until about 11:30 at night.
he had the headset on the whole time, so everytime he would get shot, he would scream out OUCHH! or ARGHHH! and then sing opera.
it got to the point where his own team was trying to kill him, and eventually kept booting him.

he made us rank down like two levels haha

Hah what a creepball. My roommate is pretty awkward for various reasons I won't get into. I do have a suitemate who is bipolar and raps, however.

I got sexiled a lot as a freshman.

I had roommates for a short time after high school when I moved to Gainesville and went to Santa Fe CC. They were from Jacksonville and already friends, but fairly cool. It was funny coz they were both black and when I said "Hi my name is Darren" they were like, "na, we gona call you Darron white boy." Still for the most part we had fun and played a lot of basketball and video games all day (I started playing RCT2 during this time because thats when it came out). We should have had a forth roommate, some guy named David. I assume as Gainesville is mostly rednecks he showed up saw two black guys and a Jew and was like "fuck this"

My favorite memory is one night they knocked on my door (we each had our own bedroom/bathroom, but shared the kitchen/living room) and asked to barrow something. As soon as I opened the door I was hit with wet tube socks filled with more socks. This continued for a few minutes till I took a shot to my right nut and went down in pain. I was not about to let them get away with that and grabbed a shoe and pillowcase and wanted to fight more, but they had locked themselves in a bedroom were playing GTA and did not want to come out. However, I had a plan. I re-arranged all the furniture and then cut the power on the circuit brakers. Sure enoght when they came out to get me I knew to jump certain things they did not and I had a good time hearing them collide with stuff in the dark. Oh and when cold night they tried to lock me out and I got pissed and broke down the front door

Josh just ask the guy nicely to stop and if that does not work maybe get a room change or have him removed if you can.

I couldn't get into my room because someone other than me was getting it on. Which really sucked twice: once when I had a math midterm the next day (I had to get my math book), and once when I had an essay due (I needed my computer). The first time I borrowed a book, and the second time I just closed my eyes and busted in.

The guy also wouldn't wake up until around sunset.

Let's see, a roommate during my freshman year would be my fave.
I showed up to my room for second semester on the day before class to find out my tv is blaring at max volume on the gospel channel while the guy is passed out. 5 mins after i sit down, he wakes up, grabs the phone and starts calling the local singles hotline.

During the semester, I continuously was asking to fake sleeping while a girl came over (mind you, we had bunks, and I was on the bottom).
On one of the days of my midterms, I awoke 3 mins before my alarm went off to find my bunk was making a back-and-forth movement...
Needless to say, I was late for my class because I didn't want to disturb them. My teacher laughed when I explained my situation.
Also, that bitch stole my iPod.

Oh, then there were the times he went to other halls and watched his porn dvds on their dvd players in their great room.

And then the other day he asks a friend of mine if she's ever been with a black man. She had never kissed a guy before, so she was most certainly scared.

none of you had to walk into your roommate having sex with another guy so i don't want to hear it. i had to just pretend i didn't see it. i mean, fuck i don't care what you do but at least put something on the door or something.

My roommate last semester was annoying. He would throw mini parties in our room, complete with Aristocrat. (Our dorm was a "dry dorm" btw). These "parties" would be him, 2 of his male friends, and one female friend. And they would last til 2 in the morning. This was like every night too. Also, he was blare metal from his stereo. And complain that he thought I smelled, though I'm sure I didn't. Needless to say i spent most of that semester in the study lounge. I have a new roommate this semester and he's pretty cool. The rest of the guys in the suite are pretty chill too. We have 10 guys (5 rooms w/ 2 guys/room). BTW gir, where are you living?

Rhynos reminded me. One night one of the guys had a girl in his room. I walked out of my room and saw his friend pressed to his wall listening, and I mean pressed to the wall, like 8 inches off it. I joined in, but did not hear anything. Turns out they banged the next night. Also porn was a problem with them. After class around three they would get together to do homework (I never did any HW and dropped 4 of 5 of my classes that semster, but did a lot better in college when I came back to Miami the year after). While doing their homework they would put on porn with the volume up fairly high AND open the window! Pretty much perfect social suicide for getting along with the others in our building.

okay so that jair kid came running into the living room last night while we were playing halo and started asking if any of us could take him to CVS.

apparently, he needs his medicines refilled, which are for anxiety and depression.

needless to say, i volunteered immediately lol.

we need to keep this man as calm as possible haha

In all seriousness, I would kill suicide when I would have such a roommate like that. 


When I lived out house for a while this year, we had some good moments too (me and a friend) we were trowing eggs down the hall on thursday/friday night, friday at 9 am, we went to home for the weekend, when we came back, it smelled like hell. But it was kinda funny tough. (It was my friends idea, Blame him!)

well i mean, he's not exactly my ROOMmate, we just live in the same suite.

basically one suite has 4 different bedrooms, with two guys to a room, and we all share the same living room, balcony, and bathroom. (which has two showers and two stalls thank God)

so i dont technically live in the same bedroom as him, just the same suite. (thankfully our RAs put him in a bedroom by himself, because the guy last year was so freaked)

its still insanely crazy though.

like, there is a walkway outside of our room that leads to the elevator, and he never has blinds in his window, so if you happen to glance over, you can see straight into his room whwen its dark out.
the other night, he was sitting in front of his computer wearing nothing but a darth vader mask and underwear.

we have no idea what he was doing, nor do we want to know

My suite had like minded individuals, and we did that sort of thing in the common room a few times. Our suite was a horrible horrible place to visit. The bulletin board and whiteboard usually had porta-potty quality graffiti, and there was usually either cheesy porn music, The Bloodhound Gang, or Banana Phone playing in the halls.

What size dorms did you have? Ours were usually only about 50 people (so about 6 suites).

I don't know why the college would do that but I hope mine does
