General Chat / college roommates

What size dorms did you have? Ours were usually only about 50 people (so about 6 suites).

Tiny dorm! We have 9 suites per floor and 11 stories of living space, and we're not even the biggest dorm on campus. Dark_Horse might guess my dorm from that description.

Currently living in a rundown dorm built in the 50's and is next to the main campus. I haven't really had any psycho roommates, however my hall mates have been pretty crazy - quite a few heavy drinkers here. To give you and idea, this semester we had cops and medical personnel here in my floor on the first night here because my friend drank too much. They also raided the same guy's room last week because he was selling weed and drinking in there. My roommate last semester got busted for smoking weed in the room as well.

My current roommate has swine flu, so it's probably only a matter of time before I get it.

^That kinda sucks. Good luck with not getting H1N1.

GIR, I have a good guess to what dorm you're in (West Campus?). My dorm has 10 floors, 9 floors have 4 suites with 5 rooms, so 39 ppl per floor. The RA usually gets his/her own room.

okay, so let me lay down these facts for you guys.


-is involved in ballroom dancing with a bunch of men

-majors in nursing.

-listens to nothing but Jesse McCartney, 3oh3, jordin sparks, and cascada.

-is a cheerleader for the mens basketball team.

okay, so this whole roommate thing has been going GREAT as of now.

jair has been keeping to himself and not singing opera at 2 in the morning anymore, which is a gooooood thing:]


the best news though, is that i found out that my roommate steve is actually INSANELY rich.
like, i had no idea until 2 weeks ago.
we were at the beach with a few girls, and a boat passed by.
he's like, 'oh, we should go out on my boat one weekend'
i said, 'a boat? really? how big is it? like 4 person?'
he's like, 'nahh dude, we fit around 22 people on it last summer'

it was then that i realized that the kid has a freaking yacht.

turns out, he also has a vacation home on the beach about 80 miles north of us.
the place is like a freaking disney resort.
so this past weekend, him and i, 2 other guys, and about 5 girls drove up there and stayed for a few days.

absolutely amazing.

i'm really starting to like this whole roommate situation now:]
