after having ignored this topic for several weeks and reading it again today makes me quarrel with myself how much spam topics filled with self complacent life anecdotes and random opinions ne must be allowed to have for the majority of users to still consider this place to be enjoyable before they consider it to be just annoying.

on the one hand, to my great displeasure, it appears the topic is rather popular and fills up with posts every day. a reason to let it live. on the other hand, however, the member variety of those who post is little, so i'm thinking it's just a niche, a thing of a small group of people, which would be a reason for closing it. (of course apart from the annoyingness)

Although I see some people are having fun with it, I'll have to agree with you. It's even bothering me in some way.

Nah, you need topics like this that allow people to just yak about nonsensical crap and take a step back from all-inclusive seriousness. Like hanging out with your buddies at a bar and simply shooting the shit. Too much seriousness isn't healthy...look at Wolfman, he takes/took everything seriously and ended up having a stroke. I mean, RCT itself is a sort of 'escape' for most of us anyway, right? So....we should all have to be serious and tight-assed when we come to a RCT fansite? Life's too short, gentlemen. Lighten up. Have some fun while you're here. Besides, too much seriousness has been proven to cause one to quarrel with one's self. While I agree that the majority of this topic has nothing to do with RCT whatsoever, I don't think that's any reason to close it or any other topic that isn't strictly 'nuts and bolts' RCT.

i have an actual confession. today has been the happiest day in the past two and a half years of my life.

confession- i have hardly even touched rct since i showed those last aquatica updates. i've been so busy with my band stuff lately, that i simply havent had the time.
