I don't know where it's from, but it definitely sounds like it's probably 311. It's actually a good song - true to the original, and yet in a completely different style. Which is good because that's an easily fuckupable song.

And hasn't 311 been reggae for...oh...ten years now?

i just looked into the '50 first dates' soundtrack, and it would be an absolutely flawless album, had they used the originals! especially that 'lovesong' / 'lips like sugar' double whammy!

too bad they turned it into (bad) reggae. i want my newwave!

i'm listening to a song off of "deep listening" by pauline oliveros, which i found on "epitonic". it sounds like a record created entirely on heavily treated synths, but was created using 100% acoustic, and/or organic, means.

great record, recommended for people who like wierd, droning music (sigur ros, godspeed you black emperor, or even old stalwarts like robert fripp, and brian eno, for instance).

anywho, yeah...

now i'm listening to a stereolab song on the same website; the only one there, so just search "stereolab" (it's worth it... so good).
