two great but underappreciated parks. I especially like the adventureland and western areas of tilted acres, they're brimming with atmosphere and fun. And I think I'm coming around to those ww/tt western cliff objects... johnny93 used some colorable ones in spessart park that I also liked. Whats the point of fiddly land blocks if you have perfectly good cliff ones already made!

    Euroscape got 77.50%.

I guess I really liked that park :D

    only 77?

Scores like this are part of the reason I dont understand the need to give scores to old parks like this.  In the day, this would have scored 90+ without question, but its over 12 years old, almost as old as RCT2 itself.  Parks from just before the AP are fine, but stuff like this just doesn't need a score.

I get the feeling that there's a bit of nostalgia involved too. The veteran members who were around when it was released are probably likely to vote higher due to it bringing back fond memories, or because they know it was groundbreaking/inventive/original at the time. For everyone else, it's just going to be compared to today's standard, overall meaning that old parks are likely to get a very mixed set of reviews and votes.

Reading the comment thread it seems the initial reception was actually quite hit and miss.

At release, it was #1 on iris' list. In the last version of The List, it didn't even make the top 100. So I believe that a lot of people were blinded by the quantity of it all. Must've been overwhelming to see a quality park four/five times as big as was previously possible. With tricks and looks that were still new too. It hasn't aged well, even during the classic NE era. Because it's not that stellar and it never really was.

A lot of people DID say it was totally overrated by iris back in the day. And I kind of feel that way. Butterfinger was very hit or miss. And he was a hit with iris, who was the most important member of the site back then.

    Disney's Forgotten Kingdom scored a handsome 88.75 - http://www.nedesigns...gotten-kingdom/

  • G Force%s's Photo
Should be higher, one of the GOATs. Solid score though, but if anyone deserves Elite Parkmaker its Nate.
