    Can't believe Dumbledore dies.

I thought it was really really good, even though it probably wouldn't work as a standalone movie.

I'm going to watch it again tomorrow!

I saw it two days in a row in IMAX. Now I need to see it on a normal screen though.

I saw it in standard 3D, but TBH I never noticed it excapt for a few establishing shots. Might have made the battle scene's a bit blurry, but nothing too noticeable.

Just saw The Force Awakens.. it was a great installment in my opinion.  It felt more like the original trilogy in the way it was shot which I appreciate.  Several things were straight out of them like the shots of random X-Wing pilots.  Also I was a little confused how that old lady at the cantina got Anakin's / Luke's blue saber considering it fell from Cloud City.  Pretty awesome film though, despite a few things I disliked.

Also I was a little confused how that old lady at the cantina got Anakin's / Luke's blue saber considering it fell from Cloud City.

There will likely be a prequel trilogy about this sole story. Otherwise tons of comics. Either way, they will turn that into something profitable.

I felt that it was a good film. BUT the story felt very much recycled. It was almost like a reboot of the original trilogy.

Which in all fairness is probably a good way to start this series off. It gives me hope for the next 2.

It just dawned on me that the title "A New Hope" applies more to VII than to IV. No one thought a good Star Wars movie was coming out again for over thirty years...

Mad Max is my number 1 from 2015. Never thought it would be but it keeps getting better.

  • chorkiel%s's Photo

I have now seen about 60 films from 2015 and there's still about 30 films I want/need to see. Currently my top 3 (or 10) is as follows (can't realy pick)

    #1 - 10/10

    Mad Max: Fury Road

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

    #2 - 9.8/10

    X + Y (A Brilliant Young Mind)

    #3 - 9.5/10

    Ant-Man

    Brooklyn

    Ex Machina

    Inside Out

    The Martian

    The Walk

    Star Wars VII

Close runner ups: Paddington, Straight Outta Compton, Sleeping With Other People, Man Up, The Night Before

    Bottom 3

    #1 Terminator: Genisys - 2/10

    #2 Mortdecai - 2.5/10

    #3 Kill me Three Times - 3/10

Close runner ups: Fantastic Four, Maze Runner 2, Aloha, Welcome To Me and Chappie. Chappie is my most hated film. It's just not nearly as bad as the other films mentioned. Chappie just pisses me off every time I think about it.

Stuff I'm still looking forward to: Room, Macbeth, Creed and the Hateful Eight.

I never cared much about Star Wars, always felt Tolkien and Rowling had created the better and more immersive worlds (That´s still my opinion). But The Force Awakens blew me away. Way better than expected.

Guess I have to kick Mass Effect out of my top3 favorite Fiction universe ranking...

Hateful Eight was great! Awesome story development, classic Tarantino style, amazing performances (especially Walton Goggins and Jennifer Jason Leigh), beautiful score, lots of violence, lots of tension and buildup, satisfying ending. It's the most fun I've had at a movie theater as far back as I can remember.
    9.5/10

    Anyone who watched the Oscars?

Some pretty interesting results, mainly Ex Machina winning visuals and Mark Rylance winning best supporting over Sly. Also the split with Spotlight and Revenant on picture/director, never saw that situation coming.
