General Chat / NE's Great Travel Survey

How many countries have you visited in your life?

How old were you when you first traveled by plane? (in years)

What regions have you visited? (regions overlap, use your gut feeling)

What do you look for in holiday destinations?

Who do you like to travel with? (multiple options possible)

If you could travel through time... Where would you go?

How do you prefer to travel?

End of topic due to Americans seeing states as countries. Bummer.
  • inthemanual%s's Photo
It's a travel topic, not a countries visited topic. This is perfectly acceptable conversation about travel.

Aw shit Shotguns, you almost made it into Mexico!

  • Austin55%s's Photo
Yes please I would like to see maps. Especially of countries. Especially from Roomie.

Edit-Shogo did you go to DFW?
  • csw%s's Photo

I might make a map as well. Could be fun.

I like how you can easily see that Kansas and Iowa are the most boringly organized states based on counties.

  • Xeccah%s's Photo

    Once i did

  • csw%s's Photo

How did you guys generate those maps? Did you fill in each county from memory or what?

  • Austin55%s's Photo

Yes. Just using Paint's bucket tool. And google Earth to track the counties.

Shogo-You missed Dallas and Tarrant counties then. They are the two square counties just above where you stopped. You can always find Dallas county because Rockwall is the really small square to the top right of Dallas.

  • csw%s's Photo

Alright, here's mine. Green is home, red is traveled to.

Hunnebedden and Terschelling. But yeah, valid point.

  • Faas%s's Photo

    Terschelling is not in Flevoland.

  • chorkiel%s's Photo

Woops, I misread that. Thought it said Friesland.

    Walibi World.

  • FredD%s's Photo

Went to Italy the last days, new country for me. Didn't like it though, while the landscape and climate were amazing, the road were terrible (and it were even toll roads...), signalization a disaster, infrastructure complete illogical.

Not all bad though. Pizza's were delicious and the women were beautiful. Denmark and Sweden are up next week.
