Ask the Experts / Game screen freezes and/or turns black when opening a specific park

Occasionally when I'm playing the game, it will freeze while saving. When I try to load the park again, it will either open as a black screen or freeze. I can open it in the scenario editor without rides however. Luckily I've made backups but it is extremely annoying losing hours of work and having to repeat the process all over again. So, with that being said, is there any way to fix this problem without losing my work?
