RCT Discussion / Park Updates

A sampling of cross-map work recently:

- Heavily considering dropping a few rides and just opening areas up.  Things are very typically ][ crowded at the moment in a lot of places and I think it's holding the parks back.

- I've embraced the fact that the multi-tile flower trees is the signature of my style / the parks and am working to really make them a presence and sell that idea.  

- Have added a giant ship hull to the back corner of Adventures .  I'm undecided on what I want to do there; I was briefly thinking a cruise terminal but am no leaning towards some kind of integrated nautical museum deal.  Possibly a warship, but a cargo/passenger vessel would be much easier to pull off imo.  Think QE or the SS United States; a little larger in scale than the steamer at Disney Sea or similar.

- Revised much of the clifftop stuff above the vekoma suspended screen shown previously.  Really thinking about pulling some more color in.

- settled some things as far as what the Adventures areas really are.  Over the multi-year history of the project I've gone back and forth on whether they're supposed to be real locales - Bhutan, the Philippines, Hainan etc. - or something fuzzier.  For a long time the "official" version was that these were Hernando's [park chain owner, Walt Disney equivalent] interpretations of the scenes he saw on a grand tour of the asian continent, and I think I'm sticking with that rather than nail down official locales for everything.  As such, the areas are probably going to get semi-mythic names to give them the right feel; inspired by reality, but bent to the needs of theme park setting and LL.  Hawaiki instead of Polynesia.  Shangri-La instead of Bhutan.  Does this matter to anyone else?  Probably not, but this is the kind of development that entertains me.  

- revised monorail path through Imperial resort

- wrapped up one of the train stations in VA.

Currently there are [7] maps started. The 3 main parks are actively being built on, if only in small patches, and [5] resorts are under construction.

Isla Hernando: Released

The Vermillion Resort is the life work of one man, known to the world simply as Hernando. When he first bought a few acres on the riverside, he planted the trees that are still on the property today and turned his orchards into the finest for miles around. Hernando always loved entertaining the folks who would come to pick their own fruit, so he began to add attractions and soon expanded across the river to create a full-fledged boardwalk. Hernando's Boardwalk has grown over the decades into one of the finest multi-park amusement destinations in the world, with rides, shows, and all sorts of incredible experiences for visitors from around the world.
