Ask the Experts / LL Peep Path Tips (Musket)

With the release of Musket, I expect some questions about the peep friendly path. It's not hard to do and I think I can explain it in a few steps with just one screen.

The peach land texture is where you want the main "RCT2" path. The single wide path is what will work in LL.

1.) Put down your outline and then the single wide LL path layout. Make use of the L and T shapes with benches and bins when they fit with your outline as they can remain and function with the peeps. You can later clone in more benches and bins. Lamps too, but they don't function with peeps, no need to have them on the single wide path.

2.) In an open area, make the piece you want to start to add that will fill in the outline. In this case we just want one full edge, the rest full path. When the construction light is red, build a C shaped path in another texture, turn the light to green and fill it in with the piece you need.

3.) Zero clearance (I use 4Cars Absolute) and place a dummy object (palm trees here) on the areas within the outline that will require the path piece.

4.) In the codex map control menu (what you get when you click the crane icon) you should see the path object "Dirt Footpath" at the top. Drag and drop it over anything that says "Palm tree"

5.) "It didn't work!" Seems like it failed, but repeat it and your good. The trick is that you need to do it twice.

Of course it's much harder to do when you want the path edge as you'll need to clone many path pieces. To get it done quicker, you can use a full tile piece of path from the center of a piece surrounded on all 8 sides. That's what OZONE did in Trinity Glades

When I did it, I was lazy and did the peep work last, which resulted in the peep path sitting on top of the 'design' path, which made it look messy. Nice and clean in yours (and Ozone's)

Thanks for writing and sharing this Kumba. If I ever make an LL park again I do want it to be peepable.

    Nice expert stuff.

Nice guide. I would add one pointer: after the pathing is complete, don't drag an unbuilt stall over the path, it will mess up the path orientations. Probably best to save the pathing for last before submitting a park. I had to redo the paths in Tourmaline several times because of this
