    Bracket & Seeding

The contest format of Micro Madness is styled after an elimination bracket, where groups of players compete against each other in order to proceed to the next round and eventually the Grand Final. In order to decide which players go into which groups, all players who have signed up so far have been ranked, or seeded, based on how the admin team believes they will perform, with close cases being decided by things like parkmaker status, highest score on a spotlight submission, and previous Micro Madness record.

By seeding, the field of players has been ranked and sorted into the following Pots of 6. The players are in order of highest to lowest rank, ie AvanineCommuter is the top seed, followed by In:Cities, FK, and so on. The bracket will be organised as such that no two players from Pot 1 can meet until later rounds. This is a priviledge of being a high seed.

The Bracket shall be formalised and revealed within the next few days, no later than one week before the Round 1 deadline of January 15th.

We reserve the right to re-organise the seeds into Pots of 8 if we receive a significant number of new signups before the reveal

Update 4th Jan: We have updated the seeding into 12 pots of 5 to accommodate the new bracket structure.

    Bracket

Following the live reveal on Twitch, the bracket has now been formulated and all of the Groups set. The bracket takes the form of three divisions - red, yellow and blue - which will remain separate until the Semi-Finals. The first and second place players in each group will advance to the next round and so on in the Quarter-Final, and the third place players will be a reserve so may still be able to compete if there is a dropout and they submit an entry. Only one player from each Semi-Final will advance to the Grand Final, but there will be a Wildcard spot available.

Late signups have not been placed into the bracket yet, this will happen after the Round 1 deadline once all submissions are in where they will either fill in as a replacement for a dropout or will be placed into a group at random if there are no/few dropouts.

The Bracket shall be updated at the start and end of each round in order to keep players up to date on their progress and the status of groups. After each round deadline, any dropouts get filled in by the available list of replacement parks that have been submitted and each group for that round is finalised. Once round voting is concluded and winners are known, the proposed groups for the subsequent round are posted ensuring players know which groups they will be competing in. The most up to date bracket can be seen below, with each previous bracket listed beneath it.

    Updated Bracket

As the Round 1 deadline has now passed, we received a total of 59 entries, with 7 dropouts from the initial Bracket and 6 replacements from the Late Signups list. The following spots have been filled in accordingly, based on seeding with the highest seed player being replaced by the strongest replacement:

    CoasterCreator9 is replaced by wheres_walto
    Zarathustra is replaced by roygbiv
    Levis is replaced by Ziscor
    Version1 is replaced by AmusementParker
    Hobeon is replaced by Ge-Ride
    GigaG is replaced by SB1

eshh is the final dropout and their place has not been filled, meaning that Group G shall have three participants instead of four.
