Head-2-Head-X / H2HX Round 1 Predictions

One week until the first round of H2HX kicks off! Who tastes victory? Who admits defeat? What sorcery will the rest of us witness? Place your bets!

Dambusters vs. Jazzcats: Liam has led his team's R1 park in every single H2H to this point. High chance he goes round 1 again with a sensible chuckle of a park based on a real-world location. AJ has clamored to lead his team's R1 park since long before H2HX was announced, and I'm thinking Bubbsy will augment him on a grounded, crunchy semi-realism park since they're a tried-and-true duo. At the same time, AJ also has strong fantasy chops and plenty of more conceptual builders to back him. Could go either way.

Evergreen Gardeners vs. Hurricanes: Babar Tapie. With his crazy speed and execution, I can definitely see RWE putting him forward to pull the lion's share on a trademark Babar park with plenty of whimsy. RWE is lightning fast too, so I can see him backing Babar (if not leading R1 outright) to focus on captaining as well. Kumba or Xtreme could hit hard here to grant the Canes an early lead, especially against a powerful team like the Gardeners. Kumba's team composition lends well to a fantasy style which either of them can crush. Thinking the Evergreen Gardeners take it but I'm not counting out the Canes.

Lonely Hearts Club vs. Soda Jerks: Notice a pattern here? J K is fast and furious and has the stuff to nab an early win. He is going to go all out with a huge, fantastical, sculpture-heavy concept that still won't win against the Soda Jerks because no one is ready for the Gustav Goblin solo to end all Gustav Goblin solos. Soda Jerks win easy.
