People around here don't have enough of a sense of humor for a good-natured roast. -

make it only open to say oh, peeps that have been around here for a certain date or certain amount of posts or somthing that would make them involved with the NE officials or whoever is being roasted. make it like a community park, where one person gets a go at the person at a certain date or time and then the next person goes after them doing something along those same lines. you could dedicate a satirical park to them or make a slideshow of stupid moments, or what not, just in good taste so it becomes enjoyable to everyone, especially the roastee. there could also be a commitee or meeting where topics are discussed, but the roastee isnt let in. hopefully they wont go in under an alias or have inside info, that would ruin it. -

Mantis...
On Comedy Central there's a show called Ro@$T, or something to that effect, where a group of twenty or so comedians get together to make fun of a celebrity while the celebrity sits next to them and just has to take it. The funniest I saw was when they roasted Hugh Hefner. Good stuff. -

I think roasts started with the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast. At any rate, a roast is basically when a celebrity's funny celebrity friends get together and make fun of him and tell bad stories about him, but it's all in good fun and a tribute, not something that's really mean-spirited. Just a sadistic form of tribute, I suppose.

in some way, the roastee could feel highly prized as a parkmaker, seeing as only a select few will be roasted. so if you are chosen to be the one to roast, then accept it that youre a great parkmaker or whine your ass off, but we're still doing it!
(okso maybe not so violent, but if this gets going, then im pretty sure it will follow through with itself)

remember, we havent even decided to try this out, so i woundnt plan your life around this, just half of it, at least.
Note to Mantis - sorry if i have brought on such horror upon yourself that you have planned out a must dwell in your room for the next 37.3 years of your life.
P.S. - please send more feedback, ive always wanted try something like this out, and this site seems to have something about it that works with this idea. ideas and comments are always accepted, just email me....you know where to find me....i live in a van down by the river.
