They're not exactly 'underground', but some of the new music here in the UK is damn funky and i've actually started listening to the radio again to check it out:

Franz Ferdinand - i'm not a girl, but i'd still dance to it
Keane - damn piano gets me every time
Snow Patrol - endlessly singable

This is ridiculous, how come you know all about my favorite new bands? They're meant to be new!

Seriously, Snow Patrol are one of the best new bands coming through at the moment, and Franz Ferdinand will have a few hits, Take Me Out being just the tip of the iceberg methinks.

It's official! I'm going to see FF on the 21st April! How cool is that?!

Snow Patrol's album was first out 6 years ago, wasn't it? So I guess they aren't that new I listened to the clips of their album on their website and it was cool.

FF's album is insane.

I'm seeing them on 8th March! I'll tell you how it goes...

Really? I guess they're not that new then. But they are just gaining recognition now, so is suppose it counts...

Sort of that feel good, pot-rock, not particular psycedelic rock, but not really light rock, just sort of rock-ish.

Dog Toffee

Awesome, balls out, working men's rock. Saw them when they supported the Wildhearts at Manchester Accademy. Great night. Those were the days.......
