Vekoma should take it down. They should remove all the SLCs too and issue a public apology. -

They can dig deeper, and build higher above ground, a drop from skylift height is enough to make any grown man crap his undiesThey're gonna have to dig pretty deep if they want the tallest woodie, aren't they?

I never have understood what people have against SLCs, sure they are a little rough, but they're still really fun. The front seat is amazing going down the first drop - great "hanging" feeling at the top while the rest of the train disengages the lift. Boomerangs are a little much for me though, still quite fun, but I wouldn't want to re-ride them multiple times consecutively.
(And this isn't pointing at Ed, because I hope that was sarcasm.)

I don't hate Vekoma. I loved Stealth and was sad to see it go. I think Invertigo is a great ride. On the other hand, I rode Boomerang at SFMW once and Deja-Vu at SFMM once and will never ride them again. Horrible, poorly designed rides. And the one SLC I've been on (Kong at SFMW) was a travesty. What a piece of junk. Yeah it hangs on the first drop - just like it hangs on all of the inversions. Coasters are supposed to be fun. If I have a headache when I get off, it wasn't fun. I feel sorry for the people who've ridden SLCs and never ridden a B&M Inverted. They don't know what they're missing. If all SLCs are as bad as Kong (they might not be) than Vekoma would be doing everyone a favor by dismanteling them. -

I guess it's because I have to drive awhile to get to a park that makes me appreciate any coaster I can get on, including those Vekoma devils.
I thought I remembered reading that the Super Invertigo models had spring-loaded wheel systems like on B&M coasters? I could be just making that up, but even through the mess of a ride they are, I thought they were supposed to be smoother? -

Deja Vu was pretty smooth. I didn't like it because it crawls through the inversions, and the lift mechanism on the towers is really jerky. I like smooth, graceful movements. Jerky motions where it feels like the train may or may not stall out really annoy me. It isn't the roughness I don't like about Vekoma. Stealth was pretty rough but it didn't bother me. It's the jerky movements and the crawling through inversions that make them bad. And in the case of Boomerangs and SLCs, cheap trains too.
