Tropical Dreams Florida is progressing more and more. I honestly think this can be released by start of Summer. Who knows. Time will only tell.

I already know many people will hate this section. I am changing my style in this station. This picture is more Mants/Mala influenced. I personally love this section. My second favorite (Halfmoon Bay being my first). Anyway, I'll show another screen of a new section later. I am being too generous by posting these pics in such a short amount of time. ;)X No more pictures for like a few weeks. Unless I can't resist my urge of showing all of you.

Hate it??!,...whats there to hate about it?....I love it, the whole thing....you really know how to use RCT as your canvas...best park being advertised right now IMO...nice work turtleman!! :bandit:

It looks far better than the last screen of the same area. I love it. 9.9/10 (perfection is impossable). I see the Mantis influence but I'm not so sure about the Mala. The shrub and tree selection maybe? I don't know but it looks great.

    Time for some nit-picking:

The coasters supports are hovering on the first-drop-turn
The land type under some of the supports is swampy, I think it would look better if it was redrock or sand.
The wooden 2x2 piece of architecture in the centre of the screen is too high/plain, it needs something to spice it up. What I suggest is to lower it right down and make a balcony out of it.
Vary the land type near the waterfall, I know its supposed to be a lagoon, but a little more colour in there would help it a treat, id also add some more 'stable' looking bushes, the curent selection looks flimsy and too short.

Aside from those few points, I think this kind of work belongs up there with the elite half of the parkmakers.

it's one of teh best rct1 screens i've been seeing. at first i thougt it is rct2 and wantetd to sy, that it isn't good, but then i realized that it's rct1.
really good screen and i don't see a chance to improve fpr me ist 10/10.

    I'm really loving it!

It's amazing how you can make a great park of rct1..

Turtleman, I think that if you took out the paths on that part of the wall where the woodie goes over and the walls also to make the supports connect to the wall, it would look a lot better. You would probably also have to delete those raised bushes, but I personally wouldn't be sad to see those go. Maybe some scenery stacking to put the walls on the outside of the supports would look good too. On a side note, I think that there is way too much 2x2 in that screen.

Turtleman how do you build so good in rct? This park is amazing so far. :0

    Turtleman for parkmaker!
  • mantis%s's Photo
Yeah the problem with buildings around woodies is the tendency for supports to float - it's a bitch to deal with (Bingo Bango is such a mess, for example).

Phatage makes some good suggestions - even if you were to just remove that wall with the path on it you'd be able to get the supports connecting with the ground. Another option might be to chairlift/underground-and-sink some of the supports outta there, leaving just necessary ones that connect with something. Or use supplementary supports. I dunno, but I really agree that they should somehow be standing on something. And do that before it gets too late - making that mistake and not rectifying it before you continue can get really frustrating.

Voodoo makes a good point about the wooden bit too - the way it has one corner cut off by the higher structure next to it is also quite awkward (not something i'm keen on). The balcony would be a good idea, or you could try and incorporate more single-tile towers into the design.

I like it, though, I really do. It's lovely. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy reviewing it after release.

edit - and GREAT job on the landscaping adventurousnessness!

You already know I think its great.
I love the trees, they work great here.
The architecture is prefect for this area, even if it is 2x2.
And the coaster weaving through all the scenery is fab.
    Great work.

Really interesting. To me, the woodie would look better if you put some supports. But other then that, its going great. I cant believe how much you had done since the last time I saw it. :0 Good job!
  • Ablaze%s's Photo
Very nice, although I think the supports could be sorted out the rest is cool. Remove the path to make the supports better though, it definatley takes away the realism.
  • Turtleman%s's Photo
Ok I fixed the supports. I made the path go out past them instead of underneath them. Thanks for the comments so far.

Looks good. The colours match really well, and I like the tree selection. Water is also good.
You need to make it more 'swashbuckling' though.

Just wanted to tell everyone that the park is still being worked on. I don't know if everyone saw the entrance picture in Critic's interview with me so here it is:

    http://www.atariland...an/Entrance.JPG

It's the entrance area called Ankara. This is an old picture and the entrance is almost done now. Don't mind the incomplete buildings because they are all complete now.
  • JKay%s's Photo
This park is sooo yummy!.....every screen is absolutely mind blowing...and this is coming from an RCT2 guy...cant wait for its completion...

Lol. I'm not a rct2 guy. I suck at rct2. Although Ankara was a section in a park I made, along with halfmoon bay if anyone remembers.

Oh and the park is about 55% I suppose.
