i use kazaa lite tools k++
lots of tools, nice speed on the right d/ls. Recently got Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Mona Lisa Smile, and 2 Fast 2 Furious in the past two days, and quite far along a few other movies. It has Avi preview built in, and an accelerator. Really surprised me, so much better than regular kazaa. Also let's you search forever, umbelievable what you find after 5 minutes, still.
Tho i don't know really, people tell me all sorts of shit and stuff. For the amount of files, especially albums, you'd need to be on the donkey network, not the fasttrack one. Overnet works, but is so damn slow.. -

Then use iTunes.i don't buy cd's because they charge me to buy extra songs i don't like. If I do buy a CD, it's because I like every song on the album.
The music industry makes it a point to fuck US over... so why can't we fuck THEM over?
they see illegal, i see JUSTICE. -

iTunes is nice, but it hogs sys resources, installs useless shit, and only goes with mac themes.
filesharing is illegal.

Am I one of the few that actually supports my favorite bands? What is wrong with you people? Thieves. -

That depends where you live. What many of you may not know is that the music industry has been putting a sur-charge recordable media for a very long time. Thus when you download something and burn it onto a CD you are already paying the music industry something. They're only pissed now because they are getting nothing from mp3 player and home computer sales and that is driving them nuts. There is also ample evidence that industry sales have actually been aided by mp3 sharing, There are many bands I listen to that I would never have heard had it not been for file sharing...and yes I do by albums. I only download stuff that I have a mild interest in but would never actually pay for. I see nothing wrong with being able to listen to a whole album before I shell out $20 for it.filesharing is illegal.
As for the software question...I've been very happy with soulseek. -

I use iTunes. All the files are clean, no spyware, inexpensive, easy to download, high quality, and they go into a nice little organized playlist for my iPod. Also iTunes allows you to get a 30 second preview of any song before you purchase it which is nice.
By the way, I got a new computer, and I'm hooking my iPod up to that one. Is their anyway to get the music I already purchased on another computer? If you know, I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

You would have to transfer your mp3s onto a CD (or enable iPod's disk mode) and transfer it to another computer. Mp3s from iTunes can be played on five different computers, Mac or PC.
Also, I wrote an essay about file sharing and music downloading, and how I view it as only a good thing. Shit, most if not all indie labels put mp3s up on their sites for download to get the word out about artists. I don't download entire albums unless it's an advance leak and I'm feeling like an outlaw. -

let me put it this way...Am I one of the few that actually supports my favorite bands? What is wrong with you people? Thieves.
If I'm not a "fan" and a band is not one of my "favorites"(aka, they only made ONE song I like), then I don't see a reason to support them.
As such, i only own 3 dave matthews, 1 john mayer, 1 radiohead, and 1 dream theater cd. I plan to own a few more soon as my money flows picks up the pace, but for now I don't plan to bow down to consumer whore-ism.Also, I wrote an essay about file sharing and music downloading, and how I view it as only a good thing. hmmm... I mostly download songs and such which I could NEVER find in a store near me. Like an ayreon album, or live recordings of unreleased songs from obscure concerts by obscure bands (like a fusion jazz band from Ohio).
Generally, you won't find those for sale. -
