Park Wars / Battlegrounds?

Oh dear lordy. You banned him for that? He was actually semi-justified in his actions. Yes, he did take it a little too far, however so did you. Nitrous Oxcide came up with an idea, you used it and manipulated it, he was pissed off. It is quite understandable.

He wanted a excersize which would furthur realism in RCT. One which would not only encourage realistic parkmaking, but also realistic park veiwing. It would be a tride and true economic, strategic and artistic workout.

Unfortunitly, it became a popularity contest, and you did nothing to stop it. More importantly you sort of fueled it. It was now a competition and no longer an excersise. It was about fantasy, not reality. It was about your ideas, not his.

I think it should have been a melding of the two, however you sort of never let that be. He decided, somewhat harshly and probably foolishly, that the best and only way to get his say in things was to "take over" and so he did.

Frankly, I don't believe in the banning of anyone, especially not a member such as NO. He was actually one of the few good things, member wise, about these forums, imo. I don't know, I sort of cultivated a soft-spot for him somehow, despite the fact he never did much of anything major.

More importantly, it was only one string of incidents, not an ongoing case. You should give him a second chance. Then again, as I say frequently, I'm wierd. And Iris, I wasn't bitching.

    Once again, you're wrong.
I offered several solutions to modify Park Wars so that it could fit both fantasy & realism. I offered to make two separate brackets, one for fantasy, one for realistic. He would have nothing of it. His only solution was to let him be the only judge. Pretty modest solution huh?

Offer Number TWO. I offered to make a "voting committee" of people that I thought would pick and choose most fairly. Again, he would have nothing of it. Why? Because he wanted to be the only judge.

A couple days before this incident, I momentarily unmodded him for deleting my first Steel Coaster poll, because I chose not to add Shuttles & Clones to the list. He then said "Too bad", and proceeded to delete the poll. I unmodded him, and after he DEMANDED to be remodded several times, eventually I gave in to him, only removing his Post Deleting abilities.
Now, was I crime-free in this? No. Perhaps I did violate his idea of Park Wars, but when he first agreed to have it at New Element, I even told him that I would be primarily in charge. He gave me the Park Wars idea to use, in exchange for something he was wanting for a long time, Modship. I made the New Element version of Park Wars a more fantasy based competition. If people wanted to make a realistic park, that's fine. If people wanted to make a fantasy park, that's fine. I let the public people judge, because I figured that it'd be more fair then letting someone already in the competition judge it. I was wrong I guess, and I was in the process of trying to figure out how to fix it. But letting NO judge it himself was not going to be the way. This seemed unacceptable to him.
