Heh-heh... assuming this is the one I think it is (haven't listened to this specific file), I was gonna post it later. It's a true classic. As a matter of fact, it would be even funnier if not for the fact that this man is the leader of the free world.

Looks like someone wasn't prepared... That's pretty bad, considering that most people with a reasonable amount of public speaking ability could have at least BS'ed something plausible, instead of looking like a complete idiot.

However, I prefer this one from Bush's speech before signing a defense appropriations bill the other day. I watched it, and then had to check to make sure I heard him correctly. From the transcript at www.whitehouse.gov, with bold text added for emphasis.

"Third, this bill meets our commitment to America's Armed Forces by preparing them to meet the threats of tomorrow. Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we. We must never stop thinking about how best to defend our country when we all must always be forward-thinking."

Yes I saw that one too. I about shit myself after seeing that comment. I think I laughed for about 20 minutes.....the interesting irony, is that maybe he was just being honest...maybe they DO never stop thinking of ways to harm us (the govt. I mean)...fairly telling I'd say.
