What are 'hobo chunks'? Are they really like chunks of hobos?

Wow. That dragon looks awesome. I am not sure about the lift hill supports though. They just don't look like they belong.

    Update 6/8 :- Maximus

The sixth out of the eight screens to be released of this park. This time a small terrain-woodie that tightly hugs the land in the mining section of the park. The terrain-coaster, 'Maximus' is quite unique in design as it hits top speed not on the first drop, but half way through the ride... I am trying to get a neat little hack onto it to. But so far it is proving to be a little harder than expected to pull off...
    Enjoy Maximus!

    Comments welcome as usual.

The atmosphere in this screen is wonderful. My only problem is with how big this area will be. With a big area with this look it will be kinda repetative.

I anxiously await the next screens to come! :yup:

Man, you are one parkmaking fool X!....but you'll never keep up with me.... ;)

This is a quite pleasant atmosphere you have here, a kind of mountainous, alpine feel to it; very interesting. Color-wise, the architecture is extremely ordinary, but the colorful gardens help distract from that. The lift hill cat-walk is a nice touch and adds to the realism. That arch in the bottom left, be careful not make it too thin!

Excellent stuff, X, especially seeing as i'll actually be able to view this (no WW right?)

I like the purple and gold, I like what I can see of the coasters and it's funky how you go for alternative layouts. My only suggestion has already been made by Panic.

I'll look forward to seeing this properly.

I don't understand, at all, why people add extra stairs to the sides of the wooden coaster lift hill. If you didn't know, on the sides of the tracks there are steps for maintenance and stuff, along the entire track. I just don't get it.

No WW in this park, theres a change!
Glad ya' like it! I also forgot to say the area that Maximus is in is called 'Alpinia'- and is a sort of mine/forest theme.

Gir, i know about the stairs on the track itself, but i think they look a little insignificant so i thought i would make my own by the side of the lift-hill.

    Thanks. :D

Insignificant? You mean real, right? Seriously, there isn't really a need for them which is why I don't understand the reason people like them. I don't even think they look good, and it is sort of silly to add purely functional parts of a ride for asthetic reasons. Anyway, that's just what I think and it is your park. I just don't see the point.

I personally think the stairs look great X. Every time I see this park, or any of your work, I get more impressed because it seems to get better and better. The detail is amazing. Great Job!!
  • Panoramical%s's Photo
The archy's quite simple but it's good intergration between coaster/vegetation/buildings. And keep the steps.
  • Scorchio%s's Photo
I actually like the supports on your inverted coaster - but I think you MAY have used just a few too many Hedge Fences in that screen.... it looked good for a few seconds, but then it was too much.

Thanks for the comments everyone- much appreciated.

    Update 7 of 8 :- Shamrock Village

The 'Clover Village' is the scene for the next screenshot, it is an Irish themed area and consists of dodgy green buildings and odd forms of architecture. This area is designed to be 'the family attration' as it offers rides that appeal to a wide audience. Such as the tame 'Shannon Swans' for kids, the Leprechaun for families and some other thrills for teens...
The areas main attraction is the giant 'Leprechaun' water coaster which is neatly tucked in the trees and foilage. And does not rise above tree height due to some clever landscaping and complaints from locals. The Leprechaun is 6,495ft long and has four hair raising drops each more terrifying and taller than its previous... The single wettest ride in the park.
Here the screen mainly focuses on the 'Lucky Charms Casino', where you can test your luck on the many slot machines inside. Also luck out for the 'enchanted well' in this area- which is supposed to make miracles happen...
In the background, you can see the ferris wheel, which is aptly named the 'quid', as because of the casino nearby...

    Enjoy the screen. :)

I hope you enjoy the screens and the last update will occur next week, at roughly the same time as this. And it will be a BIG update. The park is around 50% complete, and i am looking for a guest builder to do a ride or something... Offers welcome!

I love how all the colours compliment each other, as do the buildings! However, unsure of the stacked pipe tops, are they meant to be gold or something?

Really like the supports on that Ferris Wheel, they look like Sky Swat supports! However, I hate the name!

    Keep up the good work,
    Ed

I really like this X, You are creating your own style with these parks!

I too dont really like the name..I think of breakfast before i think of irish..
  • X250%s's Photo
The stacked pipe-tops are meant to be golden coins. The name for the area is now 'Shamrock Village' due to popular demand... ;)

Thanks for the kind words Hesaid & OCF36.
