I dunno if anyone knew, but the rct3 demo has been updated. I haven't finished the download, but I hope to see some bugs fixed... We'll see.

Cool! Well, we'll see what bugs it fixes. Hopefully the pathing. And the missing scenery thumbnail icons.

    K...here's what it fixes.

Paths are now easy as pie.

    Coaster (invert)cam isn't so jerky.

Scenery icons are in place (lots of new scenery, none available in demo)

STILL no walls or fences on same space as paths...GRRRRR.

    Smoother fps.

    Faster loading time.

Some icons are changed in control tab

Some coaster settings restored to RCT1/2 (leave station if another train arrives, etc.)

If you take screens during play, the intro slideshow incorporates those screens into the mix...kinda cool.

New music settings, didn't play with it too much.

The bad........the no fences on path tiles really pisses me off.

    Oh well.

Yay! It finnaly works for me! :D
So far I really like what I see. The Coaster Cam kicks ass. The only thing that really takes any getting used to is the damn game camera.

i hope we're still able to play sanndbox mode on the new demo tho...
  • hesaid%s's Photo
This version actually runs slower for me, for some reason. Not sure why.
  • Jellybones%s's Photo
    Well it works.
    Just, not very well.

For instance, the cursor flickers intermittently, so its tough to see where it's at. And the game is generally choppy, with a slow framerate. I'll see what I can do in playing around with the game's graphic settings, but at the moment it's not going so hot.

Graphical issues aside, it seems pretty cool, so far.

Works great on my older Athlon that wouldn't run the first demo :)
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
Haven't tried it yet, but it'd be funny if making the game work for older computers meant it's crap for new ones. Great to hear the paths aren't possessed now! :)

I'm glad they fixed the paths, cause that was just ridiculous before.

    Once again well done atari

    SOme fun things to try

Click a peep a few times to tickle them
Click a duck a few times to watch its feathers fall off and fly away
Look at the georgeous new water ripples you can create. and drool at a coaster fly over water in the rain.
pop a balloon and watch the guests jump

all entertaining. afterall its the little things that make a good game great :)
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
Someone plays the game too much. :p
  • Tech Artist%s's Photo
How do you make paths incline?, as in go up or down.
  • Meretrix%s's Photo
Use the arrows. To get the arrows to appear, click on the little "red thumbtack" to the right in the footpath tab. That brings up a full path direction tab.
