Wow, four people voting this 70% in a couple of minutes? Weird.
I like the planters but that's about it. Be careful not to screen of your coaster for peeps to see. You'll want some interaction going on.

Edit: Did this at one point go up to 76%? Do people on average think this is gold quality? Nothing against you wouter, just curious.

Yeah I didn't get that either.

It's better than work you've done before, but it's more like low bronze quality.

Anyway, looks like a nice start. Foliage isn't bad either.

Not really necessary to try and attack other peoples voting preferences imo.

Honestly, I don't vote on screens based on the park voting scale.  I will rate much on higher on a screen than I would a whole park.  I gave it a 75% based simply on what he showed, not caring if it was incomplete. I liked the architecture, color selection, the planters...

I think the thing they were questioning were the rate at which the high votes came in more so than the votes themselves. The first 5 or 6 votes were all above 70% and came in within 5 minutes of the screen going up, definitely doesn't normally happen.

I voted 40%. Green and peach do not work together imo, especially with a red and white awning. The blue and pink building is very simple and again the colours are off. Plus, why does it have flat roof and a random spike in the middle? Looks odd. The corner building is okay, but bronze-worthy at most.

The whole facade is very very flat, there's literally no level definition. Try staggering your buildings a bit so that they're not all on the same level.

I don't understand the path, there's no need to use two types. Stick with the crazy paving, or at the very least don't have the crazy paving creating random lines across the tarmac.

The tiny bit of foliage there looks boring an uninspired, and the merry go round is glitchy as all hell with barrels and brick path just put underneath the base.

It's also very very unfinished, knocking a good 10% - 15% off for me, leaving it at 40%. You said don't attack other people's voting preferences, but 75% is ridiculous honestly. That means you think this is the same level as Hudson Crossings, Fraenkisches Abenteuerland, Pine Hills Orlando and Busch Gardens North America. Sorry but it just isn't.

I don't mind being harsh to Wouter after seeing how he responds to others.

I've seen parks of this architectural quality score silver, by the way. Though 70 is a bit too high for this, you've improved a hell of a lot, and that's all that matters. What you need to work on now is getting a more organic, natural flow with your buildings. Make it fit as a part of a cohesive whole, yet giving each structure its own character. I want to know what everything is for, and you're starting to do that a little.

Yeah, Voting on screens is way different than voting for parks, imo. A screen can have any number of things that would make me vote high, like visual appeal, cool interaction, neat architecture, or cute little details, and a lot of screens will focus on those things, especially the ones they know they did well, and highlight them, BUT this really has none of that. It's also really unfinished, which typically makes me vote lower.

Not voting on the same scale as on park voting, allows me to rate a lot higher faster, meaning I just top off before the average voter.   Even though I would give this 75% , I would give screens with  better quality, like Hudson Crossings, Fraenkisches Abenteuerland, an even higher score.  It would just mean I hit the maximum vote faster.  And for Just what he showed in the screen I would say it's pretty good work, and good quality.

And I just think it can be pretty motivating to players, especially new ones, to see a decent score for there work, after all it is just a  screenshot.

Why would you not vote on the same scale as park voting though? I vote on how this would be if it was submitted, not on the potential. If I think it has potential, I'll comment on it and give more detail instead of voting on a skewed scale. I suppose if you're saying you're a high voter it makes sense, but then I'd be interested to see what you'd give the other parks I mentioned, and in turn what you'd vote things that are normally around the 85% - 90% area.

The flip side is that for people who actually produce gold quality work, seeing something like this voted at 75% would be demotivating.

I just don't vote on the same scale because I think screens shouldn't be judged as harshly as an actual park.  If someone came in a showed me some promising stuff I have no problem with voting a 75% or so, on just a screenshot.  I would definitely give screens from some of the other parks you mentioned, easily 80% ^  All I did with my voting scale was cut off the very low voting for the most part, and generally just shifted the scale towards higher end voting.

Edit: and just to clarify I vote A lot based on potential and simply what is shown in a lot of instances.  If someone wants to paint a complete picture with a full screen thats great, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Plus you are right in that I could just be the high vote in these situations too.  I don't want to rant too much, so final word is to you, sir.

Foliage isn't bad and the screen definitely shows some promise. Like Trav said, the flat wall of buildings isn't great and the tarmac and crazy paving doesn't really go together for me. Also not entirely sure why you used a random path in front of two of the buildings; I'm assuming its supposed to indicate where the invisible stalls are but hopefully you'll change that later.

I though the castle was nice from your other screen, but here the full-tile ramp looks out of place; either use the steeper steps or have a ladder.

I thought the entire purpose of voting was to get a variety of opinions rather than just one opinion deeming something "good."  Had this screen been more finished (or even just cropped to show the architecture), it most likely would have been received better.

    Critiques:

-The cobblestone and tarmac are fine in my opinion, but I would change the intersection to all tarmac.

    -The monorail should be higher.

-The potted planted on the green and peach building just isn't working.  I would suggest removing it.

-The shutters on the middle building (with the gray roof) are too small for the size of the window you have there.

-The awning covering the monorail opening covers half the windows on either side.

-If that drop tower is functional (which i really hope it is)  and not just for theming, I would use diagonal blocks to create a slightly larger opening for the ride vehicle.

-Your buildings don't show any cohesion.

You definitely have potential, and I hope we can see it someday.  But the only thing that really matters is that you think it looks good, and you had fun building it.
