General Chat / top 10 video games?

this thread has maybe been done but whatever, new thread. anyway, just post your top 10 favorite video games. just for fun. frankly, I just wanted to sort out my top 10, I don't really give a shit what you guys post

I often consider my top three tied, but i'm gonna be cool and post everything with no ties.

1. Ocarina of Time
2. Bioshock
3. Portal 2
4. Mass Effect 2
5. Wind Waker (not quite finished yet, haha...)
6. Mario Galaxy 1/2 (they're pretty much the same game)
7. Pokemon
8. mario 64
9. Twilight Princess
10. Assassins creed 2

pretty heavy on the nintendo/xbox... yeah

and yes I have actually played skyward sword, very disappointing IMO. never got to the very end, I was on the final dungeon when I gave up (that damn pirate mini-boss, I am so sick of reused bosses)

also, just ordered dishonored. pretty excited for that to come.

there are plenty of other great games i love but i feel these 7 really define gaming for me.

1. Starcraft 2 (currently completely and utterly addicted to this game, even though I am garbage so far. XD)

9. I like Shmups a lot but I don't really know of that many. Ill just put those as one game though.

I love bioshock as well, but I have not played it in some time. I am ready for Infinite though!!!

1)RCT: It always was and it always will be I'm afraid
2)Day of the Tentacle: Dunno how often I played it, but it never gets old. NEVER!
3)SimCity4: Recently started playing it again, love it!
4)Red Dead Redemption: One of the most atmospheric worlds in video gaming ever.
5)Minecraft: Love to play it from time to time, but I'm not that dedicated to it
6)Uncharted: Gotta love the cineatic action going on in those games
7)Crash Bandicoot: Loved the games back in the days and still play them from time to time
8)The AD-series: A german build-up simulation series. Soaks you in for hours.
9)God of War: Nothing about slashing some gods to death every now and then.
10)You don't know Jack: I love to get messed around by a virtual video game quizmaster!

- GTA: San Andreas (VC 2nd place, didn't like 3 because gameplay was too broken) Haven't played 4 yet because my pc can't handle it and I refuse to play it on my PS3 because I hate the controls vs a mouse and keyboard (flight excluded).

Other ones I liked:
- Bioshock

- Heroes of Might and Magic 3 & 5
- Sim city (original, 2000, 3000 & 4)
- Call of Duty 2 & 4 (didn't care much for the rest)
- Prince of Persia - 1,2 & sands of time trilogy, they botched POP3D, and the remake PoP was bland because if you finished one part you pretty much seen it all (+crap gameplay). After that the SoT series apparently Ubisoft had to dumb down gameplay to 1 attack button for some reason
- Rayman (2,3 and Origins, with the Vita version being awesome)

Spyro (1, Ripto's Rage, and Year of the Dragon)
Majora's Mask (better than Ocarina)
Ocarina of Time
Super Smash Bros. (N64 style)
Pokemon (specifically Yellow)
NCAA Football 09 (Ps2, EA Sports peaked before reaching next gen gaming in my opinion)
Mario Kart Wii
Jak and Daxter series (1 << 2 <<< 3, they got exponentially better over time)

I never really got into 360 or PS3, so my list is pretty old school.

1. RCT (as a game, LL. 2 not so much)
2. Tiberian Sun (+expansion; so much fun)
3. Lego Star Wars (you don't have to like either Star Wars or Lego to LOVE this game. POTC was fun as well, and LOTR is coming out soon. The only recent game to make my list.
4. Pokémon (Red/Blue, Silver/Gold, and if you don't think about the Pokemon too much Sapphire/Ruby is lots of fun as well)
5. GTA Vice City and onwards
6. Lego Racers (still play it every now and then; and I always win)
7. Donkey Kong (the game in which you're Mario and you have to collect keys to open doors. Brilliant puzzle/platform game)
8. Red Alert 2
9. Total Annihilation
10. Age of Empires (only for the scenario creator and the huge ridiculous shitty battlefields you could create with that)

1. GTA SA (all time classic)

i think i'll be the only one on here to rate majoras mask over ocarina of time

1-TF2, obviously (PC)
2-portal/half life 2/ episode1/2 - i bundled these because of the orange box (PC)
3-Legend of Zelda: Majoras mask (honourable mention OoT) (i played them on Gamecube)
4-XIII - completely underrated game (GC)
5-Yoshi's Island (GBA)
6- Minceraft, the gay boat simulator. also minecraft.
7- Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - multiplayer was incredibly incredible. (Xbox)
8-COD 4 - with all its obvious flaws, it had utterly brilliant controls and gameplay. just downloaded it for pc before (xbox)
9-GTA Vice City- (ps2)
10-Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - (GBA) - surprisingly excellent game. playing it on my phone using an emulator but i used to have it back in the day.

I'm not much of a gamer so these are about all the games of which I have played quite a bit through the story mode.

What I've had the most fun with:

Bioshock 1 & 2(So pumped for Infinite)
Fallout 3 & NV (Just replayed 3, such a blast!)
Skyrim (First 40 hours of this were some of the greatest 40 hours of gaming I have ever experienced)
Starcraft Brood War (Greatest competitive game of all time)
Roller Coaster Tycoon 1, 2, & 3 (Of course, though I'm a scenario player)
Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 (I can't even express my love for this game enough; when I hear KH2 intro music, I get fucking nerd chills)
Final Fantasy 3, 7, 8, 9, & 10 (What can I say? These games are epic)
Civilization 2 & 3 (Good times)
Pokemon Blue, Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Diamond, White, & Black 2 (Gold>White>Blue>Ruby>Diamond)
Jak 2 & 3 (Quite possibly the most underrated series of all time)
Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, 3, Bash, & Team Racing (Cortex Strikes Back and Warped! were my childhood)
Time Splitters 2 $ 3 (My favorite FPS games of all time; cat racing anyone? virus anyone?)
Call of Duty 4 & World at War (The peak of online FPS for me; War was the greatest game mode of all time)
Twisted Metal 2 & 3 (Damn, these games were a blast)
Command & Conquer Red Alert, Aftermath, Tiberian Sun, Firestorm, 3, & Kane's Wrath (Build tanks ---> destroy my enemy? Count me in)
Need for Speed Underground 2 & Most Wanted (Such badass racing games)
