  • After selling my tickets at the venue (and almost going) to what appears to be the most epic concert ever (HB2) I feel like I want to hang myself. I can only pray for something like that in San Diego on Wednesday. :((((

I nearly sold my tickets to the Massachusetts show, actually. But I figured I was going to be sort of in the area for the Wilco show the night before, so I stuck with it. And plus, I had a feeling that I'd live to regret it if I did sell those tickets. And I would have. I had previously been 0-for-3 for my 2nd favorite song of theirs, How To Disappear Completely. So I'm really glad I got to see that. There were quite a few others that I hadn't heard in my previous Radiohead experiences as well.

Haha. Yeah, but there was this one guy next to me who kept getting out of our row to go talk on the phone. Maybe you remember that?
I'm just thinking "God, you're leaving during Kid A? Idiot."

Did that happen? I don't remember to be honest. Again, way too enthralled with the show to know what was going on around me.
  • Well then.
    Small world I guess!

And no, I wasn't paying any attention to the people around me. Way, way too absorbed in the show. Although I do recall being pleased that the people next to me weren't irritating, like the people next to me at the Wilco show the night before were. So, thanks for being a good concert neighbor.
  • Yes. That was odd. Sounded like he was a bit out of tune though.

The other show I saw, in Montreal, there was this huge fireworks display at La Ronde going on at the same time as the show. It was just an added bonus during most of the show, but during Faust Arp, it was uh. Shall we say. Distracting. So much so that it totally threw Thom and Jonny off and Thom burst out laughing. And then afterwards said, "We paid all this money for fireworks, least they could do is shoot them off at the fucking end!" What a comedian.

Or maybe he just can't ever get Faust Arp right.
  • Row W?

In that case you were a couple seats over from me. I was in the same row, seats 1 and 2.

One of my friends, who had shaggy curly blond hair, was sitting in the seat on the very edge of the row. I was in the second seat, I had medium-length dark hair and glasses.
  • Also, I saw Radiohead twice on this tour. Montreal and Mansfield. Montreal was great because it had Bangers & Mash, and was located at a beautiful venue (at a park on an island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River with a stunning view of downtown Montreal). But the Mansfield show was better. I didn't think it could POSSIBLY get better after How to Disappear Completely...but then Thom played that solo rendition of Cymbal Rush. Good shit, good shit. Having now seen Radiohead 4 times on 3 different tours, I can safely say that the Mansfield show was the best out of all of them.

Also did any of you guys see Wilco and Andrew Bird at Tanglewood the night before that? Pretty much the best two day run ever. Not much else could get me to return to Massachusetts at this point but that was totally worth it.
