  • @navalin, "some sort of river with waterfalls/whatever to make sure that the place doesn't look like it's prone to flooding."

I'm not sure how it's done IRL, but at the same time there is no river on that side of the lake [if there was one, it would have to be out on the campground side]

  • Yeah, I thank you guys for helping

  • That start and pre-lift section must be painfully slow. You could add a set of gently-sloped pieces on either end of the bottom of the first drop there to help clear out some of the straight- and flat-ness. I like the turnaround area well enough, but the trek back seems very random. Make it do something. If there will be terrain and foliage, maybe start on that so you get a more concrete idea of what you want it to interact with. I also question whether the station and space between brake sections needs to be that large for those trains. Use as little space as possible in these areas because the train will be travelling incredibly slowly and it will be boring.

Well, where the straight is is where they have the coaster's train housing with one side track [as CSW shows below] So I could shorten it up as to make it not so long and solve the long brake as well.

As for the Trek back, it's set in the middle of the woods, so other than some nice foliage, I won't be able to do much.

To CSW: not a bad layout there, the only thing I'd change would be the height of the lake turn seems to be a bit too high? Other than that I'd say that would help me out some! Thank you so far all.

  • Alright, so what I get is:

    1. Too Big: yeah, it is a bit x3

2: The lake turn is very drawn out with those straight sections of track. The real ride seems to have a more compact turn here, and it goes about 270*, whereas your turn is barely going past 180*

I May need some help here, if to make a better lake turn.

    3. Diag Lift hills kill: Well, I'd agree, but the setup and the way it feels IRL does also make it feel that it goes from the station to the lift hill with a diag lift hill and a normal hill would kill the look/feel of it.

Thank you so far for the input

  • Oh ok, so the Thumbnail is the frontpage/sidepage thumbnails, not the one atop here. *noted for future ref*
