The underground theming was my favorite part.

The park as a whole wasn't my cup of tea, but it was fun, and looked fun to make as well.

A wonderful array of coaster WME. As I said to you, the God was my favourite ride with supports to fit the name, wonderful stuff. There was so much to see and i particularly liked the woodie's unpredictability. Awesome landscaping, as we have come to expect from you, and the park as a whole was a joy to look at. Great job

freak, dude, what is goin on?! christ.

The style is actually MORE chaotic than what I and mala do, it's just not as busy or filled out as I or mala would make it. And that's BECAUSE he did it off the top of his head.

However, i find this type of park to be more interesting... mostly because what I look for in parks is a coaster that's worth following along. I found many in this one :D

And it doesn't necessarily take that long to make, unlike those "picture perfect" (or perfectly boring) parks which seem to take years to complete... but I'd honestly take this over those other types of parks.

If it doesn't take that long to build like this, where's ANTI? ;)

Freak usually I butt out of these things but you're immature whiney behavior is really getting annoying. Stop putting down everyone that makes better work then you do. Plain and simple.

    thanks blitz =D.

And iris, what you said was close to my referral to Kumba. (in his thread) I'd love to have a reply concerning the park more, though, from you ;).

and turtle, anti 'll be finished. It's just that when you try and combine the perfectness of boring parks and the excitement of crazy ones, it sort of takes long to build :D. (even longer than perfect boring parks and exciting crazy ones)

Thanks for the other comments too!

evil is right, as this will be the most polished "crazy" park evah!

evil is right, as this will be the most polished "crazy" park evah!

Not if I finish mine first... and I won't... because you've been working longer... and have 2 people... and don't seem to be working on 4,000 other parks at the same time that you'll never finish... :(

    Anyways...

Why is every park with really big coasters considered to be in the same "style"? I think it's funny...

Why is every park with really big coasters considered to be in the same "style"? I think it's funny...

Because people like to be able to generalise things into the least amount of distinctive categories - two. Therfore the only two types of parks are those "boring" realistic type parks, and the "crazy", massive-coastered parks...

    It is strange, though.

Stop being such a pain in the ass, Freak.

Well at least I contribute something positive to this website. I'm not a bitter parkmaker who can't get over the fact that NOBODY likes their parks and then goes on to diss everyone else's to try and regain some self confidence. Nor have I alienated myself to the point where nobody at all at the site likes me anymore. So if you really wanna start with me, go right ahead. I love these things...otherwise go back to making the same park for the 5th time in a row. I'm sure the 2x2 square buildings and adventure rides are just as fun this time around.

Now back to the park itself. I love the freedom you seemed to make this park with. I think placing it in the 'greatest/favorite parks of all time' is a little bit drastic, as I don't think that was even close to your intention in the first place, but it was a breath of fresh air. Don't worry about all those who say you're copying Mala. Those who have been around long enough can remember when people first called Mala out for copying Buster just because he built huge unorthodox coasters. Some people just feel the need to categorize parkmakers together. This has it's own style, and while the theming and architecture is an obvious step-down (purposely) from your other work, the coasters were each fun and unpredictable all the way through. I had a blast watching all the coasters, and I usually don't stay interested in a park's coasters to watch each one go through the circuit, but this one definitely kept my attention. I really hope you build a 'real' RCT2 solo to go along with Anti. I feel I was a bit late on the "WME bandwagon", and while I still don't think I'll ever be quite as big a fan of yours as some (Ed, mantis, Blitz), I do feel that I should have always valued your parks a bit more. Hopefully you give me time to redeem myself ;)
  • rctfreak2000%s's Photo
lol, I got over the fact that you didn't like my work a long time ago. In fact, I already quit parkmaking and am merely a spectator now.

The fact that a bunch of people I don't know dislike me doesn't bother me in the slightest really. Especially from this website, which is full of hypocracy.

But hey, like I told Kumba, it's absolutely hillarious that you seem to relate the value of someone's opinion to the quality of themeparks they make in a computer game.
  • BchillerR%s's Photo
Hey iris! I think 2x2 is very pretty ;)X.

But hey, like I told Kumba, it's absolutely hillarious that you seem to relate the value of someone's opinion to the quality of themeparks they make in a computer game.

Uh...because you're expressing your opinion on that exact topic. And in its original state, it was less of an opinion, more of a jibe. Maybe if you actually explained yourself satisfactorily, people would listen...
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
Looks like I wasn't the only one who found rctfreak's jibe about WME copying someone humorously ironic.

I don't call people out on their personalities often; only when I think it's valid and necessary. That said... geez, get the rod out of your ass. Between offering pointless criticism of others' parks and then whining about how people don't respect "your opinion" you seriously come off sounding like a jaded old man.

Okay fine... it's not about your own RCT skills or lack of or whatever. Then why the hell are you acting like a childish sourpuss? Why do you go around making comments like you made above with no explanation? Why does your tone come off as almost jealous? Did you ever stop to consider that it's not them, it's you? No, instead, you seem to sulk and sulk and play victim.

People don't respect your "opinion" because it has no backup. You garner the same attention that a blabbering drunk receives--kinda novel at first, but completely pointless and rather irritating after repeated exposure.

And especially when your opinion comes of as plain ignorant or controversial, you're gonna need a heck of a lot of backup for your argument. Yet you provide little or any. Those who realize this will criticise you for it, because you're not contributing anything to the site. And then you get defensive and disgruntled.

Geez... despite the fact that this phrase is used everywhere by those in the position and those who ought to be receiving it... grow up. Take the initiative in a positive manner rather than play the troll. It's starting to irk me too, and that takes a lot.

WME... my comments from testing the park apply. There's a delicious feeling of controlled chaotic nostalgia here. It's not really pretty, but it's attractive. I think the "Mala-esque" feeling that many people are giving has to do with how at first glance, it looks like a mess, but as you explored the park and look close in for the details, you notice little things that really make you smile. Nooks and crannies and flow of space that looks really enchanting. Rides that sprawl out and don't possibly seem to work, yet do. The messiness also resembles some of Mala's earlier LL work. Yet the style is WME. It's the RCT equivalent of a brainstorm of quickwrite... just a splurge of stuff that does hold together cuz Mark's been playing the game for a while and has nice instincts.

Best ever? Hardly, but like Iris said, this doesn't need to be, nor does it really set out to be. It's a free expression, and it's invigorating.

This is the first park in a long time that I actually looked at for more than a few minutes.
Most of the time I just glance at a park for a copule minutes, and that's all, usually the coasters don't even grab my attention in todays parks.
But this park, I must of looked at it for at least a half hour, or maybe even more. I actually enjoyed the coasters, just watching them go through their crazy hills and loops at such high speeds, diving down cliffs into tunnels and such. They were so much more interesting than a standard, realistic coaster you see in most parks these days..... I even had a "where the fuck did it go" moment a couple of times with some of them, which makes it even better, lol.

After looking at the coasters, I then noticed how much detail was in this little park. The underground theming, the incredible landscaping and all those little things in the landscapes that make me look even more.

Ah, I love these kind of parks, yet they are so rare these days...
Awesome park WME. I'll think I'll say it's my favorite mini park, rather than my favorite full solo park ever.

Sucks though, I was thinking of making a park building whatever the hell I want. But now people will think I'm copying off you, or mala, or blitz. I'll do it anyways, hehe. :)

I didn't say it was the best ever, just one of the parks that I've enjoyed the most in recent days.

The fact that a bunch of people I don't know dislike me doesn't bother me in the slightest really. Especially from this website, which is full of hypocracy.

Congradulations on proving your point and making it at the same time. You may be the single greatest hypocrit here; and I even like you. You just seem to pretend that things must suck against the status quo (good) but you rarily if ever back it up with any support other than your own negitivity. Not liking it is good enough reason not to like it, however telling us that without the why will not allow anyone to please you, even when they're trying.

    I WISH that more people thought like you and me ;_;

Part of what inspires me to make parks is that excitement of following coasters, of being "along for the ride"

If you want to splurge like WME, knock yourself out =)

It isn't a style, it's an approach... all you have to do is add your own style to it.
  • Evil WME%s's Photo
I forgot to reply to that the other day, and now Blitz beat me to it =P.

Indeed, its an approach (one not taken nearly often enough...) not a style. Go for it!

(and even if it would be a 'style'.... *sigh*. people at NE are so obsessed with copying.. and when you're less obsessed with it you actually copy less too, strangely.)

On another note, thanks for all the wonderful replies. I think they might add some motivation to finish something for PT2, even though I also think that enough motivation is there already :D. With motivation out of the way, all i gotta do is wait for inspiration :) .... ... :@ ...

i'm sure it will come, though! :D
