I'm getting sick of hearing that.. isn't this game called Roller Coaster Tycoon?? To me the coaster design should be one of the main factors when voting on a submission. I understand you could have an amazing layout but without any scenery or atmosphere it's just that, a layout. But come on guys.

Yes the game is Roller Coaster Tycoon. And? I play the game to create atmospheres and scenery that I enjoy based around the rides in the game. I don't particularly care if the layout isn't completely realistic.

I can guarantee that if people were constantly obsessed with just making the best, most realistic coasters they can, this game would not be around today as everyone would have moved to No Limits.

So yeah in fact, if the coaster design is so much more important than the theming to you, why not move to No Limits?

Sorry if I sound aggressive but hey, you were aggressive so I'm simply responding in the same tone you posted.

Realism =/= good design, and vice versa. The ride layouts were just not good, and the pacing was terrible; had nothing to do with realistic or not. I think that was his point. The rides were the weakest part, but the rest was good enough to grab the accolade.

Jonny, be proud of this! I think it's fabulous that you managed to finish such a huge project. How long have you been on NE now? For a year? And you already managed to get a full scale solo park with a great detail level done without any help and that is admirable! I have been around NE since 2006 I think and still haven't released one finished solo cso project aside of a 10x10 themed top spin.

You deserved the accolade for the hard work!

I absolutely love your architecture. It's beautiful and your color choices are very nice too. What you need to improve are your layouting skills for both rides as for the areas themselves. The entrance area was absolutely flawless in my opinion and the best area.
The other areas, which were reimagined phantasialand areas instead of an almost recreation like the entrance was, in my opinion lacked good thought behind them. You had some pretty cool things in each of them but the transitions just weren't that great. There were too long straight stretches of path without any context which hurt the atmosphere in parts. Also you really need to watch out that not all your paths are at a 90° angle. Atm it looks like you really built the park layout on a grid. Try to think in more dimensions than the ones rct has to offer and make your park layouts more intricate from now on.

Good luck with your future projects! I'll always be there to give you advice obviously. ;)

so how long ago did he actually submit this park

April 24th. Why do you care? Please do not ask this kind of bullshit questions.

I care because if I actually do submit my own park I want to have an estimate of how long it takes for it to get released if it does.

It'll get released either way. I'd say roughly 2 weeks. Took my park around 3 but you gotta remember all of the judges are people like us. Busy with plenty of things. and with H2H6 going on I'd put it more toward the back end of 3 weeks to get up.

(make sure to keep your own questions in your own topic btw :mantis: ) just keeps things clean
