I'm assuming you've taken offense to my post because of what I wrote in all caps; if not, my apologies. Ling and I have been best friends since the third grade, I was making a joke. I gave him comments on that building throughout the build process, it's my favorite building in the entire map.
Regarding the writeup...
While I don't really think what I said was that horrible, I apologize for any crassness. But please don't patronize me, the users of this site have had a reputation for years of being constantly, unnecessarily rude among the forums. Pissing matches spring up constantly across the board, by many users; I am not the sole participant in the shit-storm of "what the site has come to recently", so please don't act like it.
And honestly, I don't see why the writeup is somehow immune from critique anyway. Ling put a fuckload of time into his park, in his spare time, so everyone could have their shots at it, and the writeup just seemed rushed at every turn, as though it was done more in obligation and less by his own motivations.
@Wanted: I'm sorry if I've offended you, I really don't mean to start any sort of grudge match. I felt you could have put some more effort into the writeup, it felt half-assed and rushed in my honest opinion. The "Skyrise" and "spotlight" things just kind of show, to me, a simple lack of proof-reading. It's fixed now, and I appreciate that.
I am the friend who did the logo. All I said was "why does the logo say it's by In:Cities."

Because you're a new member with no introduction as to who you are and you came on here and, even if it was sarcastically, insulted someone's work. How was anyone here supposed to know that you knew Ling and that you weren't being serious?

Not really necessary... I know context is kind of crucial here, but he's not as new to the community as you all think he is. He's also rather strongly opinionated about the writeup because he saw the build process and doesn't think it does it justice. I don't think it's really fair for me to comment, but that's where it's coming from.
Again, context... but it's really inconsequential at this point.
Seriously? Everyone needs to unwind their panties a bit I think. No one should be this mad.
EDIT: And thanks In:Cities, for your insightful contribution to this already derailed thread. I truthfully don't hold disdain for anyone here, but the reactions to this have been rather surprising, to say the least.
