    Tierra Aventura.

It was quite nice, the coaster layout was well developed, and the architecture was also good, although I didn't feel too much each area theme. Also, the paths were kinda confusing in some parts...
Anyway, the atmosphere of the park was pretty pleasant, well done.

    Cherokee Canyons
I really liked the coaster layout, and the landscape was also a good job by you. But the lacking of buildings and theming decreased some points for the park...it created a really lonely atmosphere. I was a little disappointed.

So...I repeat...my vote goes for the 'Canes.

blacked out tiles DO NOT COUNT. without the blacked out tiles the park is 68x68 and was approved by iris. so please just let this point die.
  • iris%s's Photo
Yeah, obviously I gave them the OK. Blacked out tiles don't count. Why would they? That makes no sense.

"I'm here tonight to present the award everyone's been waiting for: best H2H park. Now, this award holds a special place in my heart because next year I'll be winning it for Snakes in a Pit. Now I know, I know that sounds cocky, but I don't give a damn. I am guaranteeing that Snakes in a Pit will win best H2H park next year. Does not matter what else is coming out. Some new Coaster Ed shit... no snakes in that! Cork's next Cliffia park... where my snakes at? Fatha' Grinch... green, but not a snake. No park shall triumph over Snakes in a Pit. Unless I happen to feel like making a park called Mo' Motha-fuckin' Snakes in Mo' Motha-fuckin' Pits."

    I love you, Ed.

Also, the only exception to a park being over 70x70 is if it is approved. Iris approved it, so there shouldn't be a fuss here.

for fuck's sake, people. you complain when you see more of the same old themes done over and over again, and then you complain here when someone tries to make an old theme look different. granted, the egyptian area could have been pulled off better (that means no victorian arches), but still. make up your fucking minds.

my vote goes to the hurricanes. the tigers' park wasn't bad for what it was, i suppose. and thay coaster was just insane. i hurt just watching it go along at the bottom of that second drop.

Hmmm, that's not really true tE; It doesn't even remotely look like Egypt and Greece.. Egypt itself is old and has none of those vibrant colours in the architecture.. Greece mainly has white marble-ish buildings.. I'm sure this person could tackle this, seeing as he is one of my favourite parkmakers, but he just sticks to his style what he thinks is safe.. These buildings in Egypt look almost identical as to his buildings he entered in a certain contest..
Just check out the screens I've posted of the supposted 'themed' areas in the Canes park and maybe you'll see what I meant..

Don't get me wrong, I think it's one of the best parks this h2h season and I love all of this parkmaker's work, but theming wise it misses it's point totally, imo.. Technically it's very impressive..

WE WILL HAVE NO PUBLIC SPECULATION OR ELSE YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM LIFE, AND YES I MEAN FROM NOT FOR

    ^that's sarcastic!

so can we do 49 X 100 if blacked out tiles are go?

tracid missed the point more than michael bay missed it in pearl harbor?

I thought the theme was a traditional amusement park with an Egypt and a Greece section in it. In which case it fits it's theme very well. Not every "theme park" is going to go to IOA level extremes of theming.

    ^^Didn't I cover it enough then? :p

I doubt it was meant that way Ed..
Why don't most people do read-me's anymore :|

That would certainly make for some good interesting parks, wouldn't it? My mind is already racing with ideas...

Greece mainly has white marble-ish buildings.. I

Actually, if you're going to get anal, ancient Greece used quite a bit of color on their temples and buildings. However, their paints weren't very long lasting, and they've faded with time, leaving the white marble to remain.

But if you want to be truly accurate, then making Greek buildings very colorful (I'm talking JKay-esque here) would be the most historically accurate. ;)

If iris approves your park, probably.

Why are you bitching about it? They got approval from iris, and that was the policy for exceeding the 70x70 limit. It's a reasonable accomodation.

    hah. who doesn't.

    i mean honestly.

    I know I do.

Hurricanes by a mile on this one. The park was gorgeous, and I really don't give a fuck if those buildings looked like Greek and Egyptian buildings, because they were beautiful and kicked the shit out of any other park archy I've seen thus far, except perhaps MSM. And I liked the coaster too, the interaction was very nice and supporting was spot-on.

Tigers-Clearly very unfinished, which was dissapointing because it would have been interesting to see the final product. The woodie was ok, though I think a bit more landscaping and planning could have made for a much better woodie with more terrain interaction. The bridge was nice too...unfortunately that was about all that was in the park.
  • geewhzz%s's Photo
Supporting was spot on? The final helix is being held up by hopes and dreams.
  • eman%s's Photo
Ok, fine. Spot-on for the mostpart, with the exception of one or two areas in which supports were mysteriously missing.
  • Ge-Ride%s's Photo
Uh, no. It's either spot on or it isn't.
